Good news: drove past this morning and the moroka looks heaps better (and lighter) than I had remembered. Phew. But I have decided to go standard white for the eaves which will then be the same colour for the alfresco ceiling. There is a reason the standard white is so popular! More guys on site th...

I'm sure it looks stunning, maybe just not how you pictured it. we just asked for white and it looks very nice and fresh not creamy or yellow at all, I think it is the same colour they use for the ceilings agree. i think the basic ceiling white is totally underestimated as a 'legitimate' colour. Only issue i see is that it's too close to the wall. While showering your shoulder is touching the left wall.. ::sad:: agree with this. I don't think it's a big deal that the fixed shower head and shower rail are in-line. My biggest concern would be that I would be hitting the wall all the time whi...

do these rounded plastic strips come in different quality or they are pretty much standard? Did any one had any issues with these rounded strips? we used white plastic strips around the window edges in our kitchen. After 5 years, still looked brilliant, never had a problem (we sold, so don't know h...

That's the caroma Liana sink, isn't it? (not sure of spelling) We are hoping/planning to do the undermount sink with taps coming from the wall. Easy cleaning.

get whatever you can buy without going custom. If there is a 750-800mm that does the trick, go for it. At least you can put in a 900mm if necessary (more variety/range with 900mm I think)

I like Dee's suggestion. Would allow you to have a high window along the shower (great spot for a shampoo shelf) and window over bath. Gives a very generous shower and a bit of privacy (since part of the shower is enclosed by the toilet wall. Have the bathroom entry door open away from the vanity an...

I use a combination of Sistema Klip-it type containers and Decor Tell Fresh containers. I have nearly phased out all my Tupperware and have no intention of replacing them. The main thing is sealage, stackability and visibility.

Annette - thanks! That was indeed a good thread. I have sent it to the DH (as he is responsible for the kitchen design and deciding how HE wants to take care of the garbage  ) greenfish - there has been a lot of discussion about this on threads. It really depends how you feel, how much confide...

Maybe, I dont think three metres will be enough for too much, probably more of a utility space for rainwater tank, wot water, clothesline, small shed etc... I think it might reduce the usable outdoor space a little too much, but I might mock up a quick version tonight and see how much space we can ...
I will ponder. But I'll be upfront, if I have an idea (not guaranteed, by any means), it'll come back as a handdrawn sk...

but ray's mrs can give us her 2 cents and we can go from there I'm waiting for the feedback from Clueless and Co after they get a chance to review it. No point in tweaking the fine point if there are some aspects that are non-negotiable.

It was only $400 for us to upgrade our sliding doors and flanking windows to 2.7m. Our builder does timber famed double glazed windows throughout so probably the windows were quite expensive to start with. I'd do it for that price too!

As I've mentioned in the past- I look at plans as a prospective purchaser..and there is no way I'd be buying a newly built house in this day & age on this size block if there was no direct access from garage to house. ;) I agree with this. There'd have to be a good (& obvious) reason why th...

Have thought of another way to do it if you still want the garage attached to the house. Bring the garage to the entry boundary (ie. don't drive on to your property first before entering the garage, enter the garage straight away). ok. . . here is my effort. It's a big rectangular box, so will be cheap to build. Ray. . .
