I am thinking this is a good idea since I will have these things ready before I move in. Planning to get this do...

Wow !! that's going to look awesome. I had similar plans ( although the laminate flooring use is your original :-) ). We dont have an alfresco at the moment, so was going to use the Stratco one as base setup and then 'modify' it to give it a timber look. Keep us posted with how you go. Good luck

Like laying a deck but in the other way up. :) Nice idea, humble. "Like laying a deck" --> would you have "beams" running under your alfresco roof and then nail the laminate flooring ? Interested in hearing how you plan to do this. The final product is going to look good. Good l...

katman, seems the 'overhang' is an issue with the frames which come 'pre-framed'. The people laying the slab have to be 100% accurate to get those 'pre-framed' frames in place. same goes the other way. I might try raising this as an issue with our builder, not going to help me, but something which t...

Yes, you are right it's the coded padlock on temp fence by TFH. So you don't have 1? I aksed for one ages ago. A little birdie told me the code though. Hehe - I don't think it's a big secret the SS should share it with you. Nah, we dont have one. We are not special enough :-). And like I said, none...

Quite a few updates. Seems the builder has worked around the frame issue. Still not 100%, but getting there. Will be doing a walkthrough with Mr. site Supervisor this week to discuss the remaining frame issues. Our house has been fully bricked now. All the electricals done, evaporative cooling and h...

atx, did you get a PCI inspection done? if yes, has your inspector picked this issue and included in his report? If the issue is in the report, then the builder has to fix it or provide an acceptable answer to why they wouldnt want to fix it. Good luck man..hope this all gets sorted out soon

Yes, coded - they are on most build sites - otherwise anyone can enter your site and injure themsleves. Also, people can & do steal supplies. Suprised yours isn't locked. I would ask for it to be locked - just in case someone enters and injures themselves. As you said though, it's your own liab...

The alfresco looking into the study straight and meals to the left. Note, there is a small overhang of the frame in this area. Must speak with the SS about that. I know that tolerances allow for 10mm overhang....must get that checked. http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6201/6155116273_4a0bef20f4.jpg lo...

Boiselfish.... Japan!!! Hope you had an awesome time!! Katman - it's blackbutt 2 strip satin finish. Super hardy.... Doesn't scratch. Electricals heights chart?? whats that..never got one :-( i dont think the wrapping had anything to do with bedroom. the wrapping is more to prevent the cold air from the garage to enter your 'house'. and sure enough, your entrance and laundry are inside your house. I am pretty sure those walls will...
