While it can be used as an example of how not to do Mortar and chipped bricks etc, my major question is about the misalignment of bricks at the base. Any thoughts! Will this be a Structural Problem. if yes, what is the ext...

It looks to be a piece of the steel reinforcing that has been exposed. The slab design will specify a minimum amount of concrete cover over the steel reinforcing (typically 40 to 50mm). You should request that the structural engineer associated with the slab design certify any rectification works. ...
Thnx dear. I hope it works for you.

Pewtr is a great choice. Congrats and good luck with the build mate! As for chipping, I suggest you write to them an email when the bricks are about to be laid. Also, speak to your SS and ask him to ensure care is taken as the bricks are fragile. You would need to keep an oversight via daily visits ...

One more question guys; What happens when they finish a stage and send you a letter of confirmation. If you inspect( via building specialist of your own) and find issues, does the clock stop until they rectify these faults? They have proposed 7 days for the payment after issuing a notice of a stage ...

5. Liquidated damages - according to the HIA this amount is fully negotiable (even more so in the current depressed market), if the builder is confident they can build your home to the agreed quality within the contract time they should have no problem agreeing to a realistic amount here to cover y...

2. If you are in Victoria, the builder is trying to circumvent legislation and what they are trying to do is illegal. Unfortunately, many project builders do this and are only successful because of the weakness (and maybe laziness) of those who have supposed positions of power within the VBA. https...
