The higher cost of renovations actually has to do with risk. The builder does not know what they are working with, and so has to add a risk premium in case their work damages the existing one though no fault of their own. They have to do a lot of work to stabilise the existing house and can't work t...

I'll be up north (China) next month when I try to start up a new baby furnace - ... phew....glad you explained what that meant....you had me worried there for a moment :th: Hahah... I had never even considered thinking about the statement that way. I'm so used to doing things in 100,000s of tonnes ...

Rio, BHP and Outotec all have divisions in Melbourne :-) I'll be up north (China) next month when I try to start up a new baby furnace - and when I say 'baby' I mean it only produces $2mil worth of copper a day instead of the normal $10mil a day. :-)

trippy your wasting your time, especially since they lowered the $ you get back per kw. The ROI is now like 15 years Based on current electricity prices or after the carbon tax has been in a few years?

So someone is building a 3 storey building with shops and 30 dwellings at Lennox Parkway http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/4310/20120218182526.jpg Looks like they have amended their design. It was initially going to be 4 stories and 23 dwellings. https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?p=676658...

I find it ironic that for a suburb that is littered with open air parks and now sporting facilities the density of gyms is quite high. I'd rather have a pool that is open 24/7 or at least a bit longer in opening hours. A midnight swim sounds great... :-)

After seeing them put up second set of pylons inside the fence to make out a smaller rectangle, I will have to concede there is at least going to be one set of cricket nets.

Looks like they are building something at the footy ground got a feeling it will be cricket nets I thought it was the replacement child's play park to replace the one that was lost due to the pavilion. Cricket nets would be great too - so long as it doesn't turn into a place for the local druggies ...
