Repost as i moved to correct section. We did our external colour choices this morning and ended up going against surfmist for our whites. In the studio it just didn't look white at all and more of a grey/cream colour. We ended up with: Roof/gutters/fascia - Monument Brickwork - Bluegum Windows - Pe...

Hi We did the same thing and opted for batten fix in bedrooms and wet areas. I have found if you Goggle DIY Batten Fix many light fittings can be found that screw directly into the batten holder and are very affordably. A few options are linked below https://onlinelighting.com.au/interior/ceiling-li...

Good Morning Alex We are nearing the end of our single storey build with Metro and couldn't be happier. Our slab went down in December and although we have found communication lacks during the build process (ie. we have not had one update as to what is happening next, but we do visit multiple times ...

We have had some amazing progress over the past three weeks, it is coming along very quickly and very seamlessly. Electrical is in, brick work is now completed and well above our expectations, insulation almost completed and gyprock is done! I was a little worried about the brick colour as the build...

Hi Bec Congratulations on the purchase of land! Exciting times. We aren't building on a difficult block perse, but if you haven't spoken to Metro Homes SA yet it might be worth a shot see if they can help. They have been fantastic. I am not sure of their classification but I would say it is a mix be...

Hi StephMarie We are building with Metro Homes and are so impressed so far. Everything has been so straightforward and nothing was too much trouble when we were a little confused and uneasy before signing the contract. We are currently at brick stage and workmanship has been great and very efficient...

Hi Ourfirsthomehy Lovely choices. The only things I would consider to break up the darkness would be, Brighton Lite Mortar and Surfmist Facia to match the Surfmist eaves? :) Visualisers are also a great tool, you should be able to replicate most of those products. Hi Fryxx Congratulations on your build! I don't know to much about the claim for costs with neighbours sadly as our builder is doing that for us. But I thought I would comment on the time to install the fence, I think it would very much depend on what your builder is completing for you i.e. if they ...

Would there be any chance of changing the wall paint colour so you can have the Surfmist frames, even half strength Surfmist on the trims so you have a contrast? Or vice versa We had the same issue as we were only allocated one colour choice, but I feel like the shade difference would be more obviou...

We have finally settled on our land and site works and slab have now been completed. We were quite worried that the pour would have been done in extreme heat and crack, the temperature ended up being 32 degrees and so far (almost two weeks later) we are truly impressed with the finish of the slab.
