Hi guys I am looking for suggestions on relocating the outdoor AC compressor unit. Is that a straightforward task ( for a licensed AC installer) or something of a “bad luck, cant do it without breaking the wall “?? Pic as attached https://forum.homeone.com.au/u/26131_1596291814.jpeg https://forum.h...
Forgot to mention, I am looking to move this one to the wall outside first floor

The plans aren't validated for construction unless they are stamped? It also says in print on the cross section plans "Refer to Engineers Drawings" I suggest you get copies of the Engineers drawings that are mentioned Cheers Chris Thanks. I will try to get hold of those drawings.

you have to trusses between the floors, you have I-joists. A wall is considered load bearing if it supports a roof load. Thanks Pulse. I think there are trusses. Here’s another view https://forum.homeone.com.au/u/26131_1584306435.jpeg https://forum.homeone.com.au/u/26131_1584306461.jpeg

Hey guys Hoping you can assist me in validating the structural design for my townhouse. I am trying to understand whether there is enough support in place for the upstairs area based on the trusses in place between the 2 floors. Mainly the area under the doors. Is it a requirement to have a truss ( ...

Hi guys I have recently built my veggie patch on the ground and have noticed some mysterious holes appearing overnight. Not sure what is causing them. At the moment, I just have coriander seeds in there which have started to sprout. Holes are not deep and dont go all the way to the ground. Any ideas...

I have seen this many times before, your new door was not built like that, it means the frame has become misaligned due to ground movement. If I was you I would get the house looked over by a very good building consultant. Thanks. Hopefully its not too bad. We just bought this house.

Hi guys, Hoping I can get some tips here. One of our internal doors seems to have misaligned and now having issues catching the lock. One of the bottom end touches the floor and has started to create scratches unless we lift the door a bit while opening. I have checked the hinges and they all look t...

Thanks guys, will give it a go. The noise is sort of like you hear when you sitting next to the toilets on a plane :-). Needless to say, its both ways. i.e. we can hear everything clear when someone talking in the spare bedroom and we are in the toilet . I might try getting some quotes on insulating...

Thanks guys. Well, worried about both really. The reason I had these extra studs on either side (300mm) of the centre stud was so that I can use these extra studs for coach bolts which would give strong support to the TV as well as ensure that the TV sits right at the centre of the wall. I guess I c...

If you can, I would advise to get a frame inspection done by a professional inspector. I am not sure about WA, I live in VIC, so cant recommend anyone there. As you would know, frame stage is the most important stage of your build, so better to spend some $$$ and get the house frame inspected rather...
