Use this site to calculate the angle for your area - find your location - zoom in - set the date and also time - set the height so you can see the shadow line (default value is 1m) With a bit of maths you can calculate the the angle and hence the shadow lines for any eaves depth you might think of

Ah i must mention that my previous post were walls facing (map) north. When the sun sets in the afternoon its angle is alot lower so eaves probably depth won't make much of a difference (IMO)
