Hi Ed, If you're rebuilding a home from scratch, don't spend more on the structure than the value of the land. I spent $80,000 for a 780m2 block in the outer west of Melbourne. Show me a house that I could build for $80,000. Crazy talk! Regards Chris

DFH looks better also in terms of flexibility. h3nley will not alter anything in structural design but dfh will do ofcourse at some cost. darsh Poppycock. Our Carinya has had many structural chanes that made a good house great, I suggest you get a floor plan upgrade list of Henley. Regards Chris

Hello Long time lurker, first time poster. My wife and I are in the final stages of building our house and are still trying to decide which way to go with timber floors. My heart (and head) say solid timber on a 12mm ply however I "found" Big river timbers Armourfloor. Has anyone had any experience ...

Another option to Silkwood is http://www.bigrivertimbers.com.au/dynamic/products.asp?id=1&sub_id= I like the fact that the "ply" under the top veneer is made from blackbutt and you have the option of prefinished or raw ..... any way, anyone looking at a floating floor should consider this product

Hi I have just finished building with Henley and insisted that they leave the skirting boards off, which they did, as I was/did lay 19mm spotted gum over 12mm ply (looks awesome by the way). In the kitchen as I did not want ugly quading (sp.?) I extended all to plumbing and had the installers lift t...

The timber was supplied and laid by MYM in Keilor . It is feature grade 130 x 19mm and is finished with a Treatex oil, as previously posted, looks awesome. I filled all the features with a clear resin which I believe finished it off just perfect. My floor did cost a bomb, but it looks the bomb. Rega...

IMHO there is never any need for quading, I think it make the flooring look like an after thought. Talk to your CSR, talk to your supervisor, just make it quite clear you don't want the skirts on. If Henley will come to the party, then anyone will. I'm not sure what you mean by how much room the bui...
