I just wanted to say this was the first time I'd looked through your entire post. I love the staggered windows going up the stair case and also the 3 columns at the front of the balcony. what a clever idea to stagger the windows it makes a great feature to that side wall. You must be getting very ex...

I don't know why but I love the contrast of the rain head things. I've never seen any like that before. I guess they are common where you are but they are almost a feature in themselves. :) I think it will look great whether you match them to the walls they are against or not. Love the red feature. ...

thanks. I have signed up with blogger, since i notice most people are using that here. will investigate putting photos on the site soon. Not sure what the legalities of putting up a posting with the house plans are when I only have draft plans atm. http://bp0.blogger.com/_K6fYFPGijK0/SBQXKAiGJUI/AAA...

As a primary teacher I have a huge amount of "resources". Hubby would call it junk. Every time you change year levels you end up with more resources and materials. I threw out a lot of things when we moved, sorted out stuff i thought i would need and packed everything else into boxes to stay stored ...

winter sky is quite nice. isn't it. I nearly added it to the 3 colours I originally posted. I think hubby would say alabaster is too grey for the entire area. Perfect for just the ktichen though.

I guess an good alternative would be to have the laundry off the garage that way you drop the grot off in there on your way through to the house. Perhaps with a shower included if you had a very messy, dirty or smelly type job.

hmm i wonder what percentage of people who sell up do so because of neighbours. Both times we've sold it's been because of annoying neighbours. Our first nightmare neighbours caused a lot of havoc in what had been a very quiet street. The night after we moved out they pushed someone too far and the ...

Cabinfever You could be on to something there. neighbours were fantastic in our first house. In the second it was a new estate and we did have terrific 1st neighbours. After 19 years the suburb was changing though. A lot more rental properties. A lot less care. Unfortunately in both the cases that h...

It certainly made us anxious when at our last house neighbours and nearby home owners sold to move on. We were one of the last "original" house owners in our small street. There are now 2 left. A neighbour but 1 on one side and the person 2 doors down from them are all that are left. Out of 22 house...

i think Draconis is right about future owners. i remember an issue with one of our back neighbours who hadn't paid his half off, on several of the neighbouring fences. My neighbour who also shared some back fence with him happened to mention to the lady who was buying the property that the fence had...

HI MIke I'm with you on this. I like a separate grill as well. we've decided to try the Westinghouse range because it seems they are the only ones doing it. Coming from a free standing stove I can't bring myself to lose my separate griller. The house we are currently renting has the griller in the o...

perhaps the phrase "girlie crap" was a bit harsh. I'm not too into that kind of border. hence my comment. I could handle a few feature fairy, dolphin type stickers though. :) Although I'm not sure how well I'd have coped with a child desperate for a pink room. other butterflies and flowers I could p...
