We got our keys last Monday at the final inspection and took possession of the house that day. Our removalists came the next day on Tuesday and we have spent most of the time since unpacking and cleaning. It has been a big week to say the least. Overall the experience has been good and the quality i...

OK some more updates. Frame is now halfway up. No truss's etc but most of the walls are there and the pieces yet to be assembled seem to be in some kind of order to the framer. Photo credits TechAU! Now for something a bit differnet. Drone flyover and frame walkaround curtesy of TechAU. The external dimensions are all standard (we didn't move external walls) so this may give others a idea of sizing and space etc. First post has as floor plan with dimensions. REJ8K7-lufc

So we added a tower of 4 drawers and 3 shelves into beds 3 and 4. In bed 2 our guest room we just had 4 large shelves. In the master dresser we a second shelf above the main shelf which we may yet live to regret as it's only 30cm space between the normal shelf and the one above and then another 30cm...

That's a great idea raising the shelf heights in linen. I remember with my plans I had preliminary plans some of the detail was missing for robes, slab and baths etc. once I got the final contract plans there were some extra pages covering these things.

A bit more progress - more photos courtesy of TechAU! The building frame looks to be finished completely albeit no windows as yet but they should arrive soon. I believe they have straightened it all up (plumbed? i think was the word the SS used) now. Its good to see the "Lumeah" portico ta...

Thanks Bank, those pictures are great. We have asked Kings for photos like that of the display and they don't have them, its insane. That really helps us visualise it a lot as the house we are building we have never actually seen! Just hoping i don't go crazy now wishing i should have done this or d...

We are almost finished. We had a PCI walkthrough last Monday (as per the earlier posts) but it was a bit of a disaster. The house was not at PCI level, it wasn't cleaned and council CFO wasn't done. There were some obvious very issues and we shouldn't have been shown the house let alone allowed to d...

Thanks max. Fully agree it's a bit much for us to ask the concreter to rip up and re-lay the concrete at his expense because of damage done by someone else's dog, hours after he left site. Just bad luck I guess. Appreciate your advice and will look into it.

Gotta love what they use as a 'slab' for the HWS tank. It wasn't even a solid paver - one of the foam infused type. So as soon as we moved it - crack Ours was also a little off centre, but knowing we were going to remove and concrete underneath, didn't worry about it. We had to try a number of plum...

Unfortunately we overlooked the splashback returns. They are included in the standard plans as "glass splashback". We upgraded to starfire glass which shows as "toughened glass splashback" and the returns were deleted at some point but we are not sure when or why. They wee probab...

In our 6 month build we got called by the SS maybe 4 times. It was only when the SS wanted something that he called us. Most calls and SMS went unanswered. No email was ever answered. There were no updates on progress nor warnings on invoices. Invoices just arrived via email from head office. We fou...

Did the cypress pine come pre-stained or has it already been stained? We have the same feature as you know and ours looks exactly the same as yours does now. Ours was meant to be stained in something called hynes rich cinnamon but we always thought it ended up a different colour.
