We've just had handover for our two story home built by Ultimate Homes. Our experience was mostly very good. The build quality was excellent and the site supervisor has high standards and so the home reflected this. The time frame was average ( about sixteen months including waiting three months for...

I don't have a trick sheet(good idea though) but Prestart was definitely the only weak link in our experience. I believe that they now organise a separate electrical appointment where you can discuss placement of outdoor lights in relation to down pipes, what needs to be done through the the company...

We had an appointment with Intelligent Homes which was an inclusion and you can upgrade this. Is this what you mean by network cabling?I don't think we changed any windows. A question re your floor plan, how wide is the laundry? We've recently moved out of a rental, very close to your block, by coin...

We think that the IH package means NBN ready and we didn't pay any extra for this. Our laundry is less than 2m so that will heaps. And I remembered that we did change some windows with insignificant cost impact and the sales consultant told us that bricks and windows are similar in cost so if there ...

I'm really sorry to hear that you are having the same experience that we had about eight years ago, or should I say, eight to ten and a half years ago. Yep, 2.5 years to build a one story house with the same company. Our list of frustrations was about as long, but the good news is that when we final...

You have probably sorted this by now, as you posted a few months ago, but we are also building a two story home for a family of six in Stirling. We looked at 101, Ben Trager and Ultimate, and settled on the Ascot through Ultimate Homes with modifications. One was to add French Doors to a lounge room...

Yes we did, and Stirling insist on a 6 m average set back, which means the back yard is not big but we've manged to make a decent side yard, and by putting the clothesline along the narrow side and the alfresco at the back, all the side yard will be usable, especially for our dog who rules the yard....

Thanks. Are you happy with how they look? Who? Me? Yes , sorry I didn’t post that properly. I meant how the charcoal tiles look with the rest of the bathroom.

I am planning a new home and have two questions for the bathroom community. Firstly does anyone know how to prevent the etching that results from soap buildup on glass screens? Is it related to the quality of the screens or the type of soap you use? I’m a regular cleaner and have tried just about ev...

I meant how the charcoal tiles look with the rest of the bathroom. They look very nice. A bit tough to photograph a small space but here are some shots taken before the bathrooms were completely finished. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180528/bdd2328b7fc1b9fca337fcae299c3f4d.jpg https://uploads...

I’m very impressed with Redink up until now. We are a few weeks from Practical completion and have had excellent customer service and more flexibility than in our last two builds with other builders. Good site supervisor and quality work to date.

I’d go with the side path and keep the lawn free. Sometimes it’s wind that you need more than sun; especially in winter and East is better than south.

I like Surfmist with Evening Haze better, for what it’s worth. The tones seem to work well together.

One out of three but it will give you some idea as the render on the pillars is Evening Haze which is the slightly greener version of Dune and the roof is Woodland Grey so a little lighter and more green than Monument. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200119/d1a9f2075d4f45f9468c3ca966fae4c7.jpg
