the damage needs replacement not repair. I just got a reply from him and he said he’ll “touch up” the damage. Like you said I think some if not all the damage are beyond mere “touch up”. I believe the standard test at tribunals (if we do go fair trading route) is what people in the same industry wo...

Do you have a contract? If you are paying for new, you should get new unless you are prepared to accept "touched up" damaged items at an appropriate discount. Good call!

Partner is pressuring me to concede just so we can move home. This is what some tradies and builders anticipate. Have you paid them in full? About time that some of the forum's kitchen pros gave some inside advice. Not paid in full but not much left either unfortunately

Just having a closer look at your first photo...do you have a contract that states the type of material used? No unfortunately not I just trusted it was the material he showed me. I feel silly now though should have that included in the contract

You would need to make your position clear and not agree to pay for less that you have the right to expect. You need to express your concern in written communication and ask him to guarantee in writing that any touch up would be indistinguishable from new. If you then agree in writing for him to pr...
Thank you!! Such a good reminder, I know this but forget at times and I thank you for the reminder!

I do have one big problem and it’s that I can’t move back home, it’s been six weeks already 😭 I don’t know how long this would take. Partner is pressuring me to concede just so we can move home. Is anyone aware if the kitchen company is responsible for compensating us living out of home due to unrea...

@SaveH2O If you are worried about that first photo it's carcass board which is usually HMR PB. The end panel needs to be installed which is why you can see the nail and screws. That's not an issue as it gets covered. The rest of it is not great. It looks like 2 pac and occasionally there will be li...

Also I have taken photos of the sticks could anyone tell me what material? I’ve had feedback that this does not appear to be moisture-resistant? Just plain old ordinary mdf? And also taken photo of cross section and piece of cut off that I took apart I’m having a hard time loading the photos so I’m ...

The silicone looks super messy also the silicone peels off very easily just from a touch. https://forum.homeone.com.au/u/90899_1565442999.jpeg https://forum.homeone.com.au/u/90899_1565443039.jpeg https://forum.homeone.com.au/u/90899_1565443058.jpeg

HMR board actually costs me less to buy than standard PB because of the volume that it is made and used in the kitchen industry. It's the default board. Yes I had a closer look and you’re right thank you. Also do you think thes...
