We paid a deposit on a quote and have now received the final contract. This states 85% of the balance must be paid prior to delivery to store ($24K), I'm not comfortable paying this before we even see our kitchen. What if their business goes bust?! Is this normal practice? It would have been nice to...

Does an all white laminate kitchen (matt) look cheap? We're renovating our largish kitchen and will have stone on the bench tops but I don't think our budget will stretch to 2pac unfortunately. I'm concerned it might look more like a laundry cupboard rather a kitchen. Any opinions would be appreciat...

Thanks for your reply. Do you know if Laminex Silk is high gloss or semi gloss? I'm not a fan of matt but I don't like high gloss either. We will definitely go stone. One more question if you don't mind, Wallspan told me that the modern flat handles have very sharp edges so aren't ideal for families...

Does it really chip very easily? I much prefer the look of it over laminate however I've heard that it's not very practical (from someone trying to sell me a laminex kitchen by the way). We have a 5 and 1 year old, and the doors will need to have childproof locks stuck on. Thanks

I'm keen to hear thoughts on whether they are just a trend that will go out of style sooner rather than later?

Could anyone share photos of their white flat handle-less kitchen in matte white please? I'm tossing up whether to do 2pac semi gloss or vinyl wrap.

Have you done your research on vinyl wrap? Personally I have never sold vinyl to a customer for a kitchen and I strongly recommend against it! Its the worst product you can put in a kitchen, some of the companies still using it will tell you its a new vinyl which doesn't suffer from the same proble...

We've been quoted $8k for basic range Essa Stone and do not have the measurements of the kitchen to check this price. I'm assuming kitchen manufacturers have a mark up so has anyone organised this to save some money. *Plans will be available once deposit is paid.

I rang him and he said it's a standard HIA contract which I will check out myself later. I do feel comfortable with the business so that is something.

Hi, just wondering if there is an Australian standard for the size of a microwave provision? Our kitchen has been designed so the microwave sits above the oven. However, the microwave doesn't sit align with the oven once the fascia is on. The instruction booklet for the microwave says that the back ...

Heyas, My builder is about to order tiles for my new home. What's the general rule, if any, regarding mixing rectified and cushion edge tiles? Is it OK to have cushion edge wall tiles with rectified edge floor tiles? Or would this look weird? Better to just roll with rectified for both walls and fl...

We've been waiting 2 weeks. How long does it usually take? We aren't talking any major changes either.
