Just a super quick comment on this great thread : especially thanks to Lilac and Carak777 - we are also proudly embarking upon a Kurmond build. Can't wait to progress further (only at preliminary stage), but all looking great so far. I have been devouring everyone's contribution to this thread and t...

Unrealhomes congratulations in picking your home, which home are you looking at? UpsizeTime : we have gone with the true and trusted Glenleigh design and (like most folk here) have been making a number of floor plan changes to suit our needs. It's an incredible base floor plan to work from and P @ ...

More great comments by @Lilac and @carak777 ~ such wisdom in what you both have to say :-) So far our bank (ANZ) has been fantastic with us, so fingers cross there 'professional attention to detail' continues well into the future. Considering we've had our savings and mortgages with them for 15+ yea...

carak777 - you have great bush views!!! I can just see you and the family sitting by the shade of those trees on a warm sunny day, glass of wine or soft drink in hand and enjoying the serenity of it all! Wow. Really, really nice. Unreal we are getting private building inspector just during the build phase. The one we spoke to recommended two inspections, 1 when the frame, bricks and roof is on and the other at handover. - UpSizeTime : I think that makes perfect sense. At least then you don't have to worry too much about know...

Unrealhome love your block of land, amazing size block and even bigger now that it is registered. With that size block the 1.5 metre rise wouldn’t be too big an issue – would it? Love the Southern Tablelands, so fresh and clean yet really close to Sydney, if you ever wanted or needed to go to the ‘...

Hi my Glenleigh buddies, funny how we are all doing versions of the Glenleigh. I'm very glad I found you all on the H1 forum and will be able share this whole building journey with you. DH & I received our long spreadsheet of questions and prices back from D and have looked at the different ten...

We've been dabbling (and taking advice from H1 friends!) on bricks of late. Just about fallen head over heals with this brick (is it possible to fall in love with a brick?) - and on good advice by carak777 - it's as glorious in real life as it is in this image : http://i1367.photobucket.com/albums/r...

Evening all - also had to add these two photos - one is super (horribly) dark photo, but is from the developer's website and gives a (slight) indication of what the views are to the north (at street level) from our block. I'm also adding one of the nearby lake. Will get some "proper" ones ...

I'm jealous, love the views. We definitely will not have views in Glenwood. Our last house looked over the top of Glenwood from our bedroom window, but didn't find myself standing at that window for long periods of time. Have to create our own views. We pan to plan some nice flowering gum trees, th...

Hi All Great to see a new Kurmond thread! ... Kurmond impressed us with their designs, inclusions and pricing. Despite reading the negative comments on product review etc, I’m fairly comfortable going with Kurmond as I know of horror stories with many other builders, big and small. A lot of the com...

We were initially looking at the Sapphire 32, but realised that the Sierra 31 was more functional and we visited the display at Homeworld South 3 times before deciding finally. Hanging out to Sunday, babysitters organised. Keen to get the ball rolling on the plans.
