It took us almost 18 months to get a block that we wanted. Best tip I can give is to go into the sales office and make yourself known to the sales people and what you are after. Keep visiting regularly and calling every week in a polite but non pushy way. That's what we did and it really worked - th...

Lots of people on the forum have recommended this place. They're in QLD but are great with sending out samples and have HEAPS of styles online to browse through http://www.wallpapershop.com.au

Hi we are having frosty carina bench tops in our ensuite and wanted a grey colour for our cabinets. We found the polytec greys a little too "griege" for our liking. So we went with Laminex. It was a toss up between pearl grey and silver grey, but ended up choosing the latter as matched bet...

I'm a bit lost at the moment trying to work out the best lights for outside the home! We would like some up-down lights on our portico pillars but not sure whether the more expensive options such as marine grade or LED are worth it? Surely all external lights are rated for outdoor use, though is a h...

Thanks for the detailed response arcdelt. The up down lights as you pointed out are definitely more for accent lighting. The sensor lights are for the side and back of home. Yes that pic is a cheap looking light lol as it was just one of the first that came up in google images. Stainless steel is de...

If you're looking for a double undermount, then @$600 at least. Here's one for $616 https://www.appliancesonline.com.au/abey-lago-sink-pack-lg200pk/ http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160912/9f1e6df8d66864efa3f8d863f1f0d5bc.jpg

Sorry can someone explain what the ultra glaze product is? Is it vinyl wrap? We too are looking at alternatives as we would like profiled doors throughout kitchen, ensuite and powder (Hamptons style) but obviously it's getting very $$$ with two pack. I am after a satin finish (not gloss). My parents...

Does anyone know anything about this new product? How does it compare to their Colourtech range in terms of quality, price etc? Edit: there ap...

Shiny/ glossy are definitely easier to keep clean. The fact that they reflect the light is actually a good thing, whereas matt tend to look dirtier/ streaks show up more. Just my opinion after living with glossy tiles for 10 yrs! I only need to mop them every 2-3 months as they always look clean (no...

Hi all. Quick question. What is a good amount of clearance to have each side of the fridge - enough for a fridge to fit comfortably without there being too big a gap each side? We are still at frame stage and I’ve measured 15cm clearance gap each side of our fridge. That seems a bit much to me. If s...

Thanks for the comments. I’ve measured timber to timber so with plaster it should be a bit smaller. We only upgraded our fridge a few years backs, it’s a Samsung French door model, so can’t see us upgrading any time soon. Hence preferred a bit more of a snug fit and was worried there’d be too much o...

Hi Dani, What were your reasons on getting this brand ( aside from the price)? The colour selection. Apart from Caesarstone, can't say I like many of options on offer from other stone suppliers. This brand offers very similar colours for better value for money and the same warranty. Our 37sq Custom...

Hey Colin, nice kitchen plans you have there! Looks good though I don’t think the island is 1200mm in the drawings. Definitely worth increasing the width to this if you have the space. And as arcdelt mentioned, the overhang limit has been discussed before and is a known issue. But doesn’t mean you c...

Definitely just a matter of preference. It also depends on the style of the home. I feel it’s more suited to really modern looking homes. I’d be looking at kitchens on Pinterest and seeing what you prefer and go with that.
