Hello Everyone, This is my 1st post, so introducing myself. My name's Candace and am going to be building in Aubin Grove with my bf. At this stage we have signed mortgage papers and land transfer papers, with settlement due on the 4th June. Hopefully it all goes smoothly.

Hi ladsos. We tried to pick as much stuff b4 our pre-start so as to be prepared, but even then 3 hours went by in a blink of an eye. They have the door handles/knobs and tap fittings in their room, so that helps. The brick/paver colours are outside too. The electrical selection session is better coz...

Hello Lisa, Depending on the administrators schedules, you would generally have the normal pre-start part 1st and then the electrical part after on the same day. We wanted to get downlights in our living and theatre, but after seeing the price of $170 per light, we opted to just put bayonets (normal...

I assume your carpets etc. are not included in your contract? New Gen use Carpet Call, which does not mean they are better priced or quality wise. As for the droplights over your kitchen bench, we asked about them and the option you can do is get bayonets put in and install the droplights after. App...

Yeh the builders range is long lasting, but it is a loop pile which makes it rough to touch. We upgraded to a softer nylon solution dyed carpet.. which would probably make it around $3000 for bedrooms, theatre, study. Our builders range limit was $2188 for those rooms, but I think you would have mor...

Hello Blue, I was wondering the same thing and asked my Mortgage man (keystart) via email on friday, but got no reply. I will find out tomorrow. I thought that kind of thing didn't get given to banks/lenders until the house is under construction.. hmmm :th:

Hey lisa, I'm building the Monterey, which is a New Gen ex display. It's in their Promo range. We signed up just b4 it was to get a price rise. They had an ad in the paper a month back I think and they had added stuff like dishwasher and rangehood.. but basically the price rise takes care of that. A...

Ahh John... he always has his door closed hehe. McBecks, is the supervisor Nathan C? Someone's paperwork I saw recently requested him as theirs. Oh and hello locus :) My settlement is due tomorrow.. that is if the vendors signs the transfer papers in time gosh darnit - they've had plenty of time.

ladsos, you can pick your tiles from and place, but they need to be ALL from the same place. There are brick samples at Summit if you can't make up your mind on your pre-start day. I agree, Homebase in Subi is great :z:

I know Crosby's give samples free of charge. Other places charge like a dollar or a few, and borders are the price of the whole border.

Hi Can anyone tell about how long from when they signed up, to when they where given a pre start meeting. Thanks ::study:: :th: I signed my contract the end of Apr, got a pre-start end of May.. but I signed my PPA beginning of Mar.. it also depends on the builder I think and the workload at the time.

I'm not sure about all the builders, but i'm guessing they are mostly similar in what's available. I think they pick the builder's standard range so it is long lasting.. but not exactly the nicest kind.. so we had to up-grade coz we just didn't like what was offered. We wanted something "softer...
