Yes! We are building the Prominence in Alamanda, Point Cook but are just getting started. We have our colour browse today - fun, fun! Our land isn't titling until October so will have to wait until then to get started. We have made one structural change - moving the opening to the rumpus from the ha...

Yeah - I was keen to see the smaller version of the Prominence but it isn't changed much, just cut off the dining area and alfresco. With the Thornleigh - I don't like the master suite downstairs. It depends on your family situation though I think. With young kids, I much prefer to have all the bedr...

We were originally going to go with the Atlantique but opted for the Prominence in the end. The differences in inclusions between the two haven't really affected us. We had to upgrade the basin in our Powder room, whereas it would have been standard in the Atlantique. THat was the only thing we put ...

Hi, Our mortgage broker has told us that the bank are after our FHO boost addendum and Principal place of resident paperwork. We haven't heard of these forms and didn't fill them out when we did all our other loan stuff and FHO stuff (a few months ago - we currently have the land mortgage and have s...

Yeah, we will get stone benchtops (not laminate anymore) but I don't think we will upgrade to get the waterfall sides. But maybe the dark brown is too much, I'm going off it...every day I change my mind. I like so many different things, it's hard to decide what is just right. Let's see what I'm thin...

btw this is the Prominence with the facade we will have... http://www.carlislehomes.com.au/trange/images/page_photos/prominence_facade.jpg But only the blue and white bits will be rendered, the rest will be brick work. Thanks for your opinions so far!

Hi, I really love the idea of a deep red splashback. I'm thinking either henna red or sparkling shiraz. However, there is a lot of area to cover and I'm concerned that it may be way too much. What do you think? I have attached a picture of the kitchen we will be building. Overhead cabinets: white pe...

Thanks so much for the feedback. S&P - love your colour choices! I've been to Spectra about 6 times now (how can I resist when I only live 10 mins away and am home with bubs during the day?). I can't get enough. But am I any closer to making a decision...um...no. My colour selection is 6 days aw...

I found a pic in a magazine that I really like. I might try and emulate that. So now I am thinking: Overheads - white perspex all the way across (glossy and not the frosted stuff). Under cupboards - White laminex Island bench - White laminex all the way around. Back benchtop - Osprey caesarstone (is...

Hello! We have tried to balance the dark roof, dark portico render and dark fascia/guttering with the lighter garage door, front door and secondary render. I would love a red front door but there is brickwork around the front door which is red so this won't work as there would be no contrast. Brick:...

Update- We now think we would prefer white window frames on the interior (as opposed to woodland grey), particularly in the open living/kitchen area which include a big entertainer door. But if this is the case then we would need to have white window frames in the facade, right? How would white wind...

Hi, We have an open plan kitchen, dining, living area and have a predominently white kitchen with a neutral/brown (Dulux's Charlie Horse) splashback. White walls and brown laminate flooring throughout. I was thinking of furnishing and decorating in browns and whites with gold or amber accents (ie pe...

Hi, we are just about to go ahead and sign up to build with PD. Currently they are offering a promo for $3999 to tile (entry, kitchen, meals, family) and carpet (bedrooms, lounge, rumpus) the whole house (single story). The thing is I WANT VINYL PLANKS! But we are on a budget and if we get PD to do ...

Thanks for all your feedback. Hmmm decisions, decisions... We could possibly find the money to get the flooring we would prefer but at the expense of something else (isn't that always the way). Have to work out priorities! It seems too good to pass up - and yes, Ick, I know what you mean - probably ...

Hi, Does anyone know anything about this product? My builder supplies it as an alternative flooring to tiles and carpet. I can get carpet and tiles throughout the whole house for $1999 or carpet and Tru-lock for $2800. I would prefer vinyl tiles but that will cost an extra $7000 or so. I would be us...

Hi, I saw a pic in a mag that had a light benchtop under the champagne splashback to blend in with the cabinets and feature the splashback, and a darker coloured stone on the island bench to show off the bench. All the cabinetry was white. I am building with CH. Will they let us do that? Is there an...
