Apparently Eden Brae no longer use general staircase for their stairs. Has anyone had experience dealing with the new company (not sure of the name), we are a little worried as the selection is through photos. The Stair Studio How else do you make selections if not through photographic reference?

We got them to do all floor tiling as we wanted the same floor tiles throughout the house including through wet areas. Did annoy me they tile around cabinetry though. Would prefer tiles went down first. Then cabinetry on top. But no project builder does it like that I believe. We did our own splashb...

Hi All, Our contract signing appointment is this week. I was wondering if anyone has gotten their flooring done after PCI, we are looking at the timber look tiles but Di Lorenzo have quoted $107 (Tile) + $97.5 (laying) and $18.5 (offset). This seems ridiculous when comparing to places like CTM. If ...
Yep. They have to do the wet areas but you can do everything else yourself. Suggest you look at carpet yourselves too a...

$700 is nothing in the scheme of the costs of pools. I always Go with reputation over dollar savings. Otherwise you’d easily spend that money fixing a cheaper companies mistakes.

They’d be better placed to give you a time. They know how many other builds they have on, their trades and logistics.

More lights in the kitchen. Work areas need light. The light in the middle will cause you to cast a shadow on all work spaces. Place your PowerPoints if you can on a wall that’s free on the other side. It’s really easy and cheap to punch through the wall and add more powerpoints later. Vs getting yo...

820 is standard and it’s also internal standard. The grander the entrance to your home the more welcoming and grander it will feel. Design dependant of course. Plus getting furniture into 820 can be a pain in the ***. 1200 look great on the right facade.

Wow just curious what sort of defects after 7 years? Mainly due to water penetration issues. A slow buildup I suppose. Either not waterproofing where they should or using substandard materials. I'm not too sure on the exact details as it didnt effect my house specifically but it affected others. Be...

Hi, just wondering if anyone was concerned about the 6 year structural warranty provided? I see some builder are now offering 20+. I think you’ll find most major issues will arise within that first 6 years. I’m no builder or litigator but I dare say it would be pretty hard to prove fault after 10 y...

I’m in the same boat. I’ve opted for. 200mm step down into the pool area. Purely as I don’t want water coming into the alfresco when I have a dozen people in the pool. I’m now thinking 200mm is probably too much and may change to 100mm. Somewhat similar to the threshold step coming into my house.

Inside your house you can have as many or as little doors as you want. And make them what ever colour you want. There are no laws that say you can or can’t have privacy locks on your doors. You’ve either misunderstood him or he’s full of ****.
