External colours was something I really struggled with - and until I'd seen these pics I really couldn't visualise what I'd picked during colour selection. Th...

Will be following your build with interest. Will you be off grid? I hope that it all goes smoothly for you. Won't be off-grid.

Hi! Thought I better start a thread after lurking for a loooooong time while we toyed with the idea of a treechange. We took a drive out to Drouin/Warragul area late last year looking at blocks that I'd been studiously following on real estate sites. As seems to happen with a lot of people, we stum...

Upstairs bathroom door I would make a cavity slider. Will stop the door opening back onto the shower and make the bathroom seem bigger.

We contemplated building a period home with Premier Group (who were associated with Onley constructions a few years ago). Always felt a bit... wary. We were looking for a period home - so looked at Premier, Rawdon Hill, Romeo and Kialla. After reading the reviews on the productreview website and loo...

guys we installed a camera on day and have been monitoring the site . We lived 40min away and it was next to impossible to visit regularly . After the installation , life became better at least we didn't have to guess if there was any work being done or not cuz there was not much communication with...
Brilliant idea! I have a couple of questions: a) how do you connect to it and b) how do you stop it from getting stolen...

Me? I'd just stick a telly in the living room. This home theatre room allocation is going to look so passe down the track. Is it good allocation of home space? PS And can you imagine the sound system booming away next to the master bedroom? It's a good allocation of home space for us, as is the pos...

Natural lighting requirements are dealt with in Section 3.8.4 of the Building Code Volume 2 (which you should be able to access online). It looks like the general requirement for habitable rooms is: minimum window area = 10% of floor area. Your master bedroom (excluding WIRs and ENS) is approximate...
Thanks so much for this info! Much appreciated.

I'm one of those people that likes a dark bedroom, so we elected to have a highlight-style window in both the theatre and the main bedroom of our new build, as well as the library upstairs in the loft. https://forum.homeone.com.au/u/80918_1545461931.jpg https://forum.homeone.com.au/u/80918_154546194...

We're in the process of designing a custom build and one of my requirements was that the robes were to be away from the bathroom for the exact reason of moisture/steam near all the clothing. So we have a feature wall at the head of our bed and the robes are behind that. Keeps the clothes away from t...

As someone who lives in this area, my only word of warning would be Clyde Road and trying to get to Berwick or Beaconsfield Station in the mornings to get to the city on time. (I travelled from Beaconsfield/Berwick to the city for 10+ years, husband still does). Clyde Road is a s**tshow at the best ...

That's what was throwing me off, the missing crossbar! I thought they might have been the Mock Double Hung but the crossbar wasn't showing in the brochure. We're doing a custom build with Kialla Homes in Gippsland. We're at the fine-tuning the plan stage and I'm stressing over colours like you would...
