Hi Alex, thanks for letting me know how you did your fence, it sounds like it worked out ok in the end, that's the main thing. I saw this product at Bunnings online and want to check it out in store. i am thinking similar to your method of timber or galv posts screwed to the rails and then the scre...
I think that’s a great idea. It would look nice on both sides and would refresh and modernise your outlook 🙂

The way I did it was a little bit cheap and simple haha. I used old Square wooden garden stakes from trees I’d planted (stakes are about 2 metres tall almost) and screwed them through the middle and into the metal fence posts where they wouldn’t stick through on the other side of the fence. Then I C...

I’ve had a similar problem with a side fence that I wanted to cover and you’re right that view is quite ugly and messy looking in your yard. What I did was attach some wooden poles to sections of the fence and then got a roll of dark square mesh/wire and screwed and cable tied that to the posts then...

Hi guys, I’m building a new house at the moment and I love gardening and trees so I have lots of trees planned for the front and back gardens and I’ve bought 8 bare rooted silver birch trees already so that they will grow nice and big before I move in and plant them. Hi everyone, has anyone got any interesting 1990s/ early 2000s home floorplans they could share on here. I love the designs from these eras especially with the pitched ceilings and atriums. I find them so interesting but they’re hard to find on the internet. Thanks! 🙂

Hey guys, we picked our tiles. We ended up going with Beaumont tiles and getting the more expensive subway tile for the kitchen backsplash (this was 340 dollars more than our builder had allowed us) but we don’t mind paying that much extra because the look will be worth it. We have also chosen maxim...

Hi guys, we got a reply from gj gardner. Basically we can get our own tiles from another supplier but our bathrooms/laundry wont have a warranty from the builder because we have chosen products they don't endorse/use. In the past they have had issues with owner supplied tiles and associated works. I...

Thanks Nathan, it’s good to hear from another gj Gardner customer. We think that they may let us go with another tile supplier as they’ve been quite helpful and obliging so far, and gj Gardner in our area atleast, are known for great customer service and that’s why we chose to build with them. We’re...

Thanks for the reply Nim, we are happy with the vinyl flooring we are choosing through gj Gardner for the rest of the house and we haven’t gotten as far as picking carpet yet, it’s just the tiles that are giving us a headache. Beaumont’s builders range of tiles that we can afford aren’t to our taste...

The agapanthus will fill out the pot really quickly. You only need 1 plant in there, and even then you will probably be pulling it out and splitting it into smaller plants every year. Thanks amilelka, I was worried the agapanthus would be too much for what I wanted to do with the pot. I’ll either j...

My builder just did this.. renovating old house. Left old skirtings and added a new skirting in front of the old. Is this normal? https://forum.homeone.com.au/u/91275_1567261611.jpg This is usually done to keep the floating floorboard planks in place. The original skirting board is left as normal a...
