Hi, I contacted building regulatory authority WA if I can be the owner builder of class 9b building and a class 4 (attached dwelling) in it. Their response was positive, but I am not sure if they both can be under one title. Has anyone built in this way? How did you go about it? I understand that I ...

Hi, Any rough estimates how much would in situ concrete walls cost me per m2 in perth?. I'm not after any complicated construction tbh. Just a rectangle house of 200 square metres (4 bedrooms and lots of Windows/sliding doors) and height is 2900. Cheers

Provide the slab isn't damaged during demolition, and it can be certified as fit for purpose. (OT...We've built on top of old basements.) You will need to have the existing Slab and footing details and an engineer will need to sign off. Single storey house is around $15K to demolish hth Thanks mate...

We use raft on a sand bed at $25m3 why would you bother with polystyrene void formers at $50m3 in perth? OT If you were to build a Std Perth house, ie, Slab, Double Brick, pitched stick roof house in Sydney it would be twice the price.and over Engineered for what you get by comparison. Steer clear ...

That is not the case in Perth raft footings, slab on ground and double brick is the norm The cost of housing in Sydney is significantly more than Perth, but that has a lot to do with conditioning, what you are expecte...

Depends on your contract with the builder. If you are an OB, then you would obviously get to tell your engineer what you would prefer, and they would ultimately decide depending on if WP would work on your site.
