Those currently building with Rawson Homes, how’s your build so far? It has taken forever. I signed tender since March 2021. Only God knows when it will be completed. They just completed the exterior of my house. I'm similar. Tender signed Feb 2021. Contact signed December 2021. Fenced off & ex...

Typically the site supervisir clicks the button on the builders workflow app to trigger the invoice to be sent automatically. I thought as much - he's technically not incorrect when he says he doesn't issue the invoice, but he triggers it to be raised so it can be issued, so it's all a semantics ga...

Dunno what state you're in. https://www.vba.vic.gov.au/plumbing/security-of-payment/responding-payment-claim Might be helpful. Thank you for this - I might try & see what I can find similarly in NSW.

you can ask the builder why they feel that this work is "complete" when there are clearly significant portions of it yet to be completed. As to th ebank, you dont really have to tell them anything. Just submit the invoices. Its up to them to do tehir due diligence Unfortunately, its a vol...

Thanks for the feedback. I really don't want to hold up any payments to them - everyone is doing it tough, and legally I know I've got no leg to stand on there. I just don't want to find myself basically telling a bank things that aren't the case, as I don't know where I stand in that case either. I...

This is the second occasion that my builder has asked me to 'confirm' (for the purposes of payment) that a project milestone was complete that I don't believe is. First it was for an incomplete slab when my site supervisor asked if he could sign off in his system that the slab had been poured so an ...

Has anyone built with Rawson in Canberra recently? How was the experience? Hi there - I'm about to commence building with them, at contact stage now. I am happy to answer anything that may help up to this stage.

@Almay & @Moki How did you go with BLD? I am in process of getting quotes as well. So interested to see how you went with them Hi there. I decided not to build with them in the end. For better or worse, I have ended up with another builder.

I was hoping other Rawson customers might be able to let me know - strip lighting in shower niches ... I’ve been advised (by Rawson) that Rawson don’t ‘do’ shower niche lighting. Can anyone else confirm this, &/or let me know if they’ve had this done by Rawson? I feel like I question every time ...

Anything is possible for a price. I think the only restrictions are from Austral (so my PCA told me) - they've only got access to certain ranges, and there is less restriction with PGH. Prior to plan presentation, I had fallen in love with Austral's San Selmo reclaimed brick options. When I asked at...

I have not built yet, but decided on using Austral Grey Gum after looking at recent houses / delivered bricks from Austral in our area. At my local Austral showroom, they looked a medium to dark solid grey. In reality, on recently built houses, I can confirm that while the surface colour is grey, th...

You can only go by the preconstruction plans etc and your specific plan documents. The contract states marketing material isn't part of the contract. So if there is something missing you think should be in there, make sure its on your plan and also tender/selections, otherwise you will have trouble...
Thank you. You were exactly right. What I saw online was the 'artist's impression' version of the facade. I am not sure...

I have a question about inclusions and selections when building with Rawson. Building a single sorry house. Had my plan presentation this week (they all seem pretty slammed at the moment with the builders stimulus). I want to change my ensuite/WIR layout - so to fit within the footprint already set ...

Hi guys I didn't want to create a separate thread for this, and assume people search on keywords anyway & so here was as good a place as any to query. I am building a slightly modified Avoca 26 design. Just wanted to reach out to see if anyone else has built this design and what facade they went...

Hi Almay, good to see another Canberra post. I’m building a house in Molonglo Valley. I was told by various sources that 2000-2500 per m2 is the Canberra norm. Please note this calculation includes garage. I’m still in the design phase and haven’t got the costing yet. The costing is likely to end a...
