Hi MBBN, I'm interested in this Velvet soap, and I'd like to find out where I can buy it. Do the usual supermarkets carry it? Is it the same as sunlight soap? Thanks

I had a bit of a look at google images, came up with someone's blog that features a photo with some that may be similar (can only see part of the goblet in the photo). Check it out, if you like them you might be able to contact the blogger... http://thenurturednest.blogspot.com/2011/07/vintage-brida...

I can only offer my own opinion, but I think choosing the colour may partly depend on the size of the room. I'd be reluctant to put very dark furniture (esp. if the lounge is a heavy design) in a small living space. I think you can't go wrong with a light beige/deep cream as it'll go with anything. ...

Maybe take a look at Dulux "Buff It". We have it half strength throughout, but if I could do it over I'd go full strength as it's too light in large areas. Quite a neutral shade and nice.

Ebay's fun isn't it. My hubby often comes and looks over my shoulder, rolling his eyes and groaning "Oh noooo, what are you buying this time?" Actually, I'm usually only browsing!

Michelle, I had a laugh reading that you're not sure where the decals are going yet... reminds me of when I go into Freedom or Oz Design - not sure what I'm getting but not bloody leaving till I've admired every thing in the place and found something to take home!

Stormy, that's great that you're selling them. Do they move quickly? I can imagine them being popular for kid's rooms. I like the idea of doing something fun and creative to make pocket money so I might make several and approach some stores and see what happens.

Thanks guys for the positive feedback. I've seen similar butterfly artworks in a couple of stores for $70-$80, smaller and simpler too. I can't believe the price they put on them, so maybe I'll have a go at selling them...

I really love the artworks with a bit of a 3d effect, been inspired by paper art I've seen here and also other sites, so here's my first attempt at one, with glass removed from the frame. Next time I think I'd use smaller butterflies and experiment with different papers and colours. I wonder if peop...

We have a white pendant similar to Michelle's pic (but instead has the string outer like the oblong lamp pic) hanging over our dining table. It's called 'Paris', from Beacon Lighting. I'm not sure if they still stock the pendant, I think they still have a floor and table lamp in this range though. W...

I think you'd be best to stick with an off white/winter white paint for the cupboards (I can't imagine another colour thrown into the mix). You say the kitchen is small, have you thought about painting the beams to match the ceiling, as I wonder if they might be closing in the kitchen a bit as well....

If I were you I'd choose your main wall colour with the whole house in mind, esp. living areas. I did my daughter's bedroom feature wall in Dulux Red Box, and all our other walls are Buff It 1/2, although looking more like 1/4 strength. This combination is great, although you can't go wrong with any...

Sorry to hear about your nasty surprise with the colour. I just googled the colour out of curiosity and found the images do show it to be quite creamy. That's the trouble with small colour cards, it's so hard to imagine it on all the walls sometimes. I'm surprised you were recommended that colour wh...

You could phone or email the place you stayed, and ask if they'll kindly put a little bit of the paint you 'found' on some cardboard and send it to you. Then you can get it colour-matched. Tell them you're desperate! I always think, if you don't ask you don't get!

Michelle, I absolutely love your wooden indian carving! Are you able to share with me where you found it?
