Thanks for the heads up mudmap!! I found those previous posts you are referring to. I used the search option to search for New Dimension Homes. We built with New Dimension Homes a few years ago too!! Bugger! Though can't say I am surprised by the news!

I did pay >3k extra for this corbel so I thought it would be neat. I seriously have to lift my game, I only charge $5 per for corbeling, or I used to..........lol I did think of cutting a mitre too, all depends on the look you want by the windows. Thanks Brickie. :)

And then youll see the hole on the face of the wall instead, they will just render it as it is wont they? Hi there! Wha...

Thanks Craig. If your corbel has flat bricks then yours will look a lot neater. As long as the "loose canon" next door is in its enclosure I may go and check out your corbel too! Cheers Dave

Hi all, Just wondering if anyone has any ideas for our little issue. We are paying for a single brick corbel for the front facade but in my opinion some sections of it are not finished off. Should a corbel intersect with windows without showing the underside of the brick? As you will see in the pho...

Hi there, We demolished a 3 BDR brick veneer single storey circa 1948. There was some asbestos in the eaves to be removed by the demolishers before the excavator arrived. The asbestos went into my garbage bin and I never saw my bin again after that!!! The demolishers also took what they could resel...

I recently had Kevin from New Home Inspections (his website is working now!) do a frame stage inspection of our property. He was great to deal with and produced a very concise report with colour pics that was to the point. Each point was backed up by references to Standards. The builders then fixed...

Hi Fiona, Thanks for the advice. The pool is concrete. Will it still "pop out" if emptied. I thought it may crack? Cheers David

Hi there, We are going to demolish our existing home and rebuild a dbl storey home. We have an in-ground swimming pool that we will be keeping, and renovating after the new house has been built. The new house will come to within 3 or 4 metres of the pool. We have been told that we need to remove the...
