Howdy, I looking to build in the Fraser Rise Estate; and have been told title will be expected in APR 2021 Is to too early to engage with a builder now? How likely is a delay? the builder will 'lock the price' for 12 months which means I would be stung for costs if there was a delay past june 30......
Don't you have to have construction starting within 3 months of signing the contract, to be eligible for the grant? Eve...

Another question. Do builders move on quote? I.e if it comes back at 300k, can you get them down to 290k?

Hi Guys, I was speaking to a sales rep on building a new home and mentioned they charge 1500 for building in a bushfire zone. The issue is that it looks like as the land titles; this is lifted; although, if I sign before title then i'm stung with this fee... is there anyway to get around this?

Are you in Melb ? Visit the new estates display homes, also drive around to see the other houses in construction. Get a list of all the builders and start your elimination process. You may also check on iBuild for some references. End of the day comes down to what you want and which builder is will...

My build worked out to be approx $1,580.000 per square meter. The above looks to be in the ball park So thats with no landscaping/fencing, but legit everything in the house done, site costs, plans etc etc?

Welcome to the First Home Builder's club mate. Surprise Surprise !! nothing's included . The builders have margin on everything and what they provide you all depends on how tight they go on that. I was told an easy way to calculate pricing is 11K * size of house in squares, that's for an average ho...
