Thanks for the responses chippy. Ended up having a go going into the brick. Took me about 45 mins to get three and a half holes with a hammer drill. Need a new bit or two tomorrow as the carbide tip has now been rounded. Tested the completed holes with the rack and holding strong as! Using 50mm blue...

Yeah im just not sure about all the nobby bits. Do I chip them off where I want the hole or drill on the side to get started if a hole lines up on the side of one of those if you know what I mean. Thats whats throwing me off, just no experience drilling in brick let alone a surface like that.

Picked up one of these storease rails today and when got home to plan the drilling and mounting I realise the bricks I was going to drill into arent exactly a surface to make it easy. I need the rail on there real solid as im going to hang a couple of bikes. https://forum.homeone.com.au/u/94835_1589...

Thanks heaps for replying mate! I was going in a similar direction and my research of DIY flooring just on youtube showed me how much of a difference the simplest of finishes will make, and this is DIY I have been looking at too. I would have expected better from pros. Thanks again for the reply. I ...

Hi All, Just had a laminate floor laid by a known bunch in melbourne and to be honest I am not really happy with the state of the finish. Hoping to find out how to deal with this and is expected and what isnt. The gaps under the door frames are rough and the ends are well, just cut and not tidy. I c...
