there's two facebook groups. Hit them up, more active than here and you'll get lots of a feedback. generally, like most volume builders, the admin is slow and trades are scarce at the moment.

Ring PGH tomorrow. Ask them for a list of home who have used those bricks. Go for a drive. Forget internet photos or the display centres 2x2 meter wall. They do not give you a true idea of what you’ll get.

So I'm building with Eden brae and ask for conduit to be run straight up the wall from ground floor to ceiling. I was told NO, very disappointing (not sure why they want to decrease customer satisfaction). Has anyone been able to get conduit done with Eden brae in the past? There’s two ede brae Fac...

Works out about the same from the quotes I’ve got. Spend $5k fencing it off and covering throughout the build or $5k for reduced access fee.

We have the space and have piered the house to accomodate a future pool when funds are flowing agin. I have a relative large side yard but it chokes down to 1.6m at the narrowest point. What is the consensus on this much access space and roughly how much extra would i expect to pay?

If it’s a major bank there’s a good chance they have both worked with each other and it shouldn’t be a problem.

Get rid of them. Pain in the *** to remove when they are bigger and their roots run for long distances. Not deep but long.

Cheers mate. My builder has a camera on the power pole as part of their package. Which takes a still every 15mins. I’m more keen to take different angle and also potential fly arounds video at the same height and waypoints then stitch them together at the end. But haven’t seen anything done like thi...

Has anyone done time lapse of their build using a drone. Either with stills or video. I’m keen to do this and keen to see if anyone else has.

Just wondering if anyone can tell me how the electrical allowances / pricing works. I have read that there is an allowance. Would anyone have a recent price list they are willing to share? Join the Facebook group Building with Eden brae I think it’s called. Price lists in the files section.

Bobby 24, Whatever you do, don't go to Eden Brae. We regrettably have signed with them and are way down the path. their standard range has very limited choices and these choices are often too basic. Everytime you deviate from the standard range, it is a chance for them to charge more, even though t...

Thanks StructuralBIMGuy These are the drawings I signed off on my contract. If Im reading them correcty, there is no indication of drop Edge Beams. To be honest, I dont have an issue with Drop Edge Beams, far from it. I have a problem with the matter that these have been added as ...

Hoping someone can explain to me something as I feel like Ive been taken for a ride. Long story short we failed CDC because of from setbacks (about 1m). I spoke with council and they suggested we submit via DA as they would have no issues approving the designs and setbacks as they stand. Upon reques...

In our knockdown, the only things that were worth saving was the kitchen which was a couple of years old, the built ins and the new front door. We moved out two weeks before the scheduled demolition, put those things as up for sale on facebook (with the purchaser to remove) and they were gone in a ...

I sold just about everything, even things I didn't expect. Outdoor plants, hedges, powerpoints, ceiling fans, solar panels, hot water systems even a 30 year old ducted air con unit for a couple hundred bucks. Kitchen, lights and even our clothelines and back deck. Internal doors, garage door, back d...

@Brickface I think it's very unlikely builders will be liable for any extension payments (liquidated damages) due to Covid19 related materials delays. Most contracts and common law will include a Force Majeure provision covering unforseen natural events. To minimise delays Customers may have to acc...
However, the challenge they have is proving delays are a result of COVID19.

With the coronavirus impacting the global market, I think shipping from China or even Europe now may be delayed. Builders obviously don't want their builds to go over allotted finish dates as they are then liable to extension payments. So many will be customers will be forced to make new selections ...

Hi All, I am undecided whether to have Abbey to install all the blinds or go out side and have someone else to install the blinds. Any suggestions? How's Abbey's quality?
