It's all good. Infact ponding of water on a new slab is a good thing as it helps with the curing. The worst thing for concrete is hot dry weather that allows the slab to dry out to quick. Oh that's great to hear. I've sent an email off to the builder to ask also and I haven't heard back from them a...

Hi guys, Yesterday our house slab was poured. And from 4am this morning Perth has been bucketing down with rain and isn't expected to ease off until lunch time. What I'm worried about if the rain will affect the slab at all? Cheers

Wow really! I can't really offer any advice because I haven't had any dealings with an agency before. Although the builder should have a pre start payment plan for any upgrades that you want to add to the house. I find that strange that the builder has said that they need to check with the agency.

I prefer the new design, it’s quite similar to mine, and I did it that way because I didn’t want corner cupboards in the kitchen. The extra shelf space in your pantry is a definite plus too! Thanks heaps. I'm really second guessing my decision and I've got 3 days left to lock it in with our builder...

Sorry I can't offer any advise.. 8k sounds like a hefty mark up. I'm looking at doing my own flooring to cut costs, but not sure yet as I'm still deciding because my build timeframe would literally leave me with 6 days after handover before I have to hand my keys back for our rental property.

House looks great. I am about to embark on the great australian dream of building and owning our first home with NCH. We are still in the first stage of choosing a home design. Your build journey has been a pleasure to read and very helpful and informative. If you don't mind me asking, how did you g...
