That's fair enough. If they were supplying the sink then they would cover the lot. They are charging you to basically upgrade the installation to undermount so will cover any issues that arise from the actual install but as you are providing the sink then any warranty claim on that is between you a...

Paving - Fencing (fence to keep property safe and paving to avoid dirt coming into the house) Paint Tiles, Planks Downlight Paint touchup Blinds (have a lead time, so you will want to order in advance) So you mean to do the paving first then fencing and gate? It's better to have the builder do it straight away. That way any issues with either the sink or the stone are covered by the builders warranty. Builder said because it is owner supplied sink, they will do the installation for a fee and if any issues they will sent their plumber out to check. If it...

After handover, in order from first to last what should I do first for these: Fencing, Lightings (Downlights), Internal Wall painting, Tiles to Main areas (Living, Dining, Passage ways), Planks to bedrooms and study, paving, blinds for windows.

Technically you could but your going to struggle to remove the sink (it's epoxied in place) and it may be damaged trying to get it out to top mount it. As far as leaks or cracks go, fortunately they are few and far between but if you had an issue with the sink it would have to be removed to replace...
So for undermounted for cracks replacement, it’s hard but can be removed and another one can be put in its place and ep...

No. The cut out for drop in is bigger than undermount and is typically a much rougher cut as you never see the edges. You'll need to make the decision up front. But in reverse, could I do the undermount first then if don’t like it go with the overmount. On a another note is there is a crack or leak...

If you undermount a sink the stone mason does it as it's epoxied in place. An undermount sink installation costs more than a drop in because the cut out has to be polished which takes time and the sink itself needs to be epoxied in. Top mounts just have a hole cut and the sink is siliconed down. Th...
I am just wondering if I go with the drop in, can I later change it to undermount if I wanted to for the same sink?

No more than any other edge of the benchtops. Undermount looks much more seem less however if you've got an inbuilt drainer I'd do it as a drop in as the cutout will be large. With and undermount or undermount I thought they still have to cut to size to accomodate the side drainer?

Should I have my black granite double kitchen sink with side drainer undermounted or overmounted? What are the pros and cons for each? Benchtop colour is white and tap mixer is black. Risk of benchtop chipping is very real for undermount. A friend Chipped his and on this forum people posted the sam...

Definitely undermount. It's easier to keep clean and you can wipe crumbs etc straight off the bench into the sink. I think a black sink in a white bench would look great. Yes I like the colour contrast too :-)

Planning can take anywhere up to 90 days to assess. But you can definitely call the council up and ask for an update I did. They said 6-8weeks. Hope it won’t take that long.
