That's great, unfortunately my experience with Metricon was different. They did not rectify defects noted in the reports at the appropriate time, even breaching a NSWDFT recification and completion order. Regarding Clarendon, I heard from a friend that Clarendon had actually paid Themselves for an ...
Not sure about their own inspector. If they had one, he didn’t pick up many issues! Thankfully we didn’t have any major...

Hi, We built with Clarendon in Sydney last year and used a private building inspector. We told our site supervisor and they had no issues with it. We had 6 inspections done and sent the reports to the site supervisor who did follow up and action the recommendations.

Hi, Has anyone had a Stratco Outback Sunroof installed recently or have one already? Interested to know how reliable they are. Called SolarGuard in Sydney for a quote and they advised that they were going to change blade motors tomorrow on one that was about 4 years old. Cost is about 3k for this bu...

I’d think it would be open most of the time. It will be on the side of a large alfresco area where we plan to put a bbq

Hi, I’m looking to get a Vergola installed over my outdoor kitchen area. Not that big a apace - 4.5 x 2m but big price! Looking for recent feedback or comparisons from owners to determine if it’s worth pursuing. Thanks

I put in a Solar Ark sav-30. Was pretty pricey but they don’t have many installers around Sydney and the one that services my area lives quiet far so I’m guessing that’s part of the high installation cost. It’s fully silent, can’t hear a thing. Does it work? Some days you can notice the difference u...

Not sure one on wheels is an option as my wife has her sights set on a particular outdoor kitchen. That being the case, maybe we should just stop the glass at each side of the countertop rather than go behind it. There would be at least a foot clearance between the bbq and then the glass if we did t...

Hey all, Recently built a house with a good sized alfresco area. We intentionally left part of the alfresco uncovered as a bbq area/outdoor kitchen but wanted to put a glass balustrade around the whole alfresco as it is elevated. This would mean the balustrade would run right behind the outdoor kitc...

Hi, Going to put in a solar roof vent and had was wondering whether under eave vents were really required. I get the whole airflow thing but can I do without them? If the vent is set to maintain a roof temp of 20 degrees it will stop itself. Also eave vents allow intake of cold air during winter whi...
