Thanks guys. I appreciate the tips. We will do the ruler thing next time we go down there. I will post a photo as soon as I can. It is quite wide. Up to 1mm in width and goes all the way through in both directions. We're really worried about it!

We have had our slab laid and there is a really big crack that runs wall to wall through the living area. It goes right through too! At the moment our builder, who have been great so far, are getting an engineer to look at it but I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem and w...

I found a slightly different green that is a little more subtle. The girl at the Laminex shop suggested I use it with Silica Mist benchtops. BUT I'm not sure if I should go for Fossil or Paperbark cupboards... Or maybe use Organic for the cupboards and Fossil for the splashback tiles, we have a real...

Hi Everyone, Just wondering what you guys think about the colours I am thinking of for our main bathroom. We are going for Ivory Tiles and Silk Aqua for the border. I couldn't colour samples for these but they are as they sound really. For the benchtop I was thinking frosty mirage and for the vanity...

Thanks for the advice! I'm just a bit concerned about using a timber benchtop. Do you think that laminex timber looks tacky? I love real timber but the samples we saw a the shop looked not very real... Do you not think that a white or white tinted benchtop would go? I'm really not sure myself...

I am trying to choose kitchen colours for our prestart in about 6 weeks. Due to small budget (first time home owners) we are restricted to Laminex. I really like Olive for the cupboards... I think! The kitchen is quite big and will be very light as it is opposite a door leading to courtyard and also...

I guess I have the same question but a different situation. There are only two of us... What do you helpful people out there think? I just realised how tiny the toilet is. I think you would have to squeeze up next to it to open the door. Really torn.... Any advice?

I'm only thinking of a small one. The kitchen we are looking at has a small corner pantry and I was thinking of converting that and not having a fridge.... Save lots of space I would think...

Has anyone build a cool room in their kitchen instead of a pantry? I heard that if you seal your pantry you can get a cooling engine and it is like a pantry/fridge? Sounds like a great idea to me and I was wondering if anyone has done it or how much it cost them. Thanks.
