Thanks, for anyone researching later we decided on the blackbutt floors, I like the look and the hardness and we were told it resists termites while the stringy bark doesn't, it's also rated well for bushfire. Can't wait to see it finished!

Which white paint?

Hi, I'm choosing a white paint for a new home with lots of windows and natural light. Blackbutt floors, bedrooms grey carpet, bathrooms concrete colour tiles. I would like a cool white (dislike creams) and don't want the timber floors looking too warm pink or yellow. The underneath of our alfresco i...

I think 1300 above floor for bottom of window is too high for this style of window. Also you might consider the rules around second story windows regarding restrictors/security screening as that may impact your decision.

I guess I’m wondering how they compare in terms of quality. I know the bb has a higher Janka but the ss is not hugely different- how much does this matter? Also the ss is slightly cheaper- does this indicate lower quality? The ss seems to have less variation and this appeals to me but it’s hard to t...

aussieta now the specs make sense thank you! Looks like 25 degree rise at 26L and 40 degree rise is 16.5L- which is still two showers with 7.5L shower heads I'm guessing.

Hi, just choosing hot water system- do I need to consider anything about the system to accommodate 2 showers with 7.5 litre/min showers on mixer taps? Will using the mixer result in a low flow and loss of hot water? Will two showers running at the same time cause problems? Looking at thermann 26L 60...

I'm deciding about the same thing at the moment, my thought was that wall mounted gets lots of splashing on the vanity when being turned off but a mixer on the sink the splashes land on the sink so less messy? Hadn't thought about the cleaning- are you referring to having to clean around the base of...

Thanks but that link didn’t work. I know I need a quote for specific prices but I’d like some guidelines-wondering things like whether a fixed glass panel 2400 wide is a lot more expensive than a sliding window that wide or if three fixed panels 800 wide each to get the 2400 width is much cheaper? S...

Hi, I'd like a 900 gas cooktop but only need a 600 oven, wondering if it would look wrong to have the oven under the cooktop since they are different sizes? Does anyone have any ideas or pictures please? I know I could put it elsewhere but would prefer them together if it would look ok. Thank you :)

Hi, what are my options please? I know about the sprinkler type but I'm nervous about never being able to use mould killer in my shower- is this really strict or can I get away with it? Hi! Just wondering in this situation what is required for drainage- for example if there is a deck next to the door track can the water not drain away beneath the deck/ between the slats? Here is a picture of what I would like... https://www.alwindows.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/CG1689_Letchwo...
