Received DEP today. It's normal to have errors right? I don't have many. My entry door was added twice (they didnt delete the one with smaller height door). And my Landscaping PA was deleted and driveway amount added but I should still get a credit for the $5,500 Landscaping Voucher right? Does that make sense? It's so hard to reconcile. It made me cross eyed!

we received it yesterday and already signed!no errors~ just make everything finish as soon as possible!

I was hoping no errors! Looks like a late dinner for me tonight - I'll need awhile to reconcile and cross check everything 4 times!

I didnt get a credit for the WIP. We are having a full fitout so I was hoping a little credit for not having WH do it... should I push for it? It wont be much anyway.

They left out my landscaping voucher. They should include it right?

Thanks @asj1981!

The landscaping voucher will be under Landscaping section and appears as a “included” gift certificate.

The actual credit will be reflected in your landscaping quote, which you get during construction.

Hi everyone!

Our site supervisor invited us to visit the house today since they will be shutting down for Xmas at the end of this week. Here are some progress photos:

Happy to see the sparky in doing the electrical fit out. I turned on a tap and it works hehehe.

I’ve been really nervous about our floors since everything is so white, but I really like the seamless look from our main floors (gloss) to the bathroom (matt)

   ⋅  Add a comment  ⋅  Pin to Ideaboard  ⋅

We are at week 18 since site scrape so it’s been tracking really well. Off the top of my head, there’s only a few items left - flyscreens, carpet, painting, door handles and driveway.. can’t wait!

Yeah, they don't tell you. I had to ask about them, so you should check with your colour consultant.
You get to sign off on construction plans for your DA or CDC approval.
And then you'll get your final construction plans after signing your draft end panel.
I remember seeing the location of the battery somewhere on a different page of plans too.

We signed the submission plans, then went through CDC. After CDC approval, we signed draft end panel, now construction plans. It seems maybe the order is different to yours? Maybe our final construction plans come after demolition?

Correct @One

The plans for CDC/DA are submission plans. Construction plans are done after that

Oh sorry! That’s right haha
Submission plan for CDC, then construction plans .. they all look the same to me lol

Hi everyone,
Some of us have solar roof tiles included in the package, should the location of these be reflected in the construction plans or is that something that gets sorted during construction?

Hi One

Our solar panels were shown in our final construction plans.

   ⋅  Add a comment  ⋅  Pin to Ideaboard  ⋅

They are only approximate locations. When our solar panels were installed, they ended up being installed on the other side of the roof.

@twolittlepeas
Thanks, I didn’t realise there are construction plans and then final construction plans. Learn something everyday! Our construction plans definitely don’t have the solar like yours.

We just got Council Approval and the next step is waiting for the DEP. However, I am rethinking our Laundry colours. Is it too late in the game to change my benchtop and cabinetry colours? I probably know the answer already, but i have been thinking about it for awhile. Wonder what the repercussions are.. we signed off Kitchen Quote back in May...

Congrats on getting council approval!

It’s still possible to make changes, but there will be fees involved. I enquired about making changes to kitchen colours after i received DEP but end up not changing anything. Your colour consultant will contact your kitchen supplier to confirm their fees. Wisdom didn’t advise of any fees from their end.

Our cabinetry is with Knebel, their fees were:
$300 redraw fee
$500 recall fee
$120 admin fee if there is a third amendment to the quotes

I totally feel you when you keep looking on Pinterest lol I’ll be making changes after handover

Exhausting day but we got our keys yesterday

Few small issue still outstanding. Our rain tank is being checked on Monday because it’s leaking and we have a Di Lorenzo rep coming out to inspect some of our tiling we’re not happy with.

Had a locksmith on site because the pins didn’t drop properly on our front door so our key wouldn’t work. He was lovely despite the fact it was nearly 40C and he was working out the back of his truck. I felt terrible for him and our fencers working in that heat.

Have found one major issue that wasn’t picked up at all during our inspections or by the private inspector and that’s that one of our stacker door frames is bowed along the bottom due to slightly uneven bricks. The doors themselves work ok but we had them measured for crimsafe screen doors and they fall off the rails because of the bowing.

I will contact our SS on Monday but I suspect it will have to go on our 90 day maintenance list so there is something to look out for. Definitely a pro for having Wisdom complete your screen doors before handover.

Congratulations @Jenifermarie! Must feel awesome to finally get the keys!

Hope they can get the stackers & bricks sorted for you.. I’m a bit worried now because i also opted to do the screen doors after handover. How would they fix bowed stackers??

Hi @Asj1981
I received our DEP fairly soon after CDC approval. Here's a timeline of our admin from CDC approval:

10 May - CDC Approval
16 May - DEP Received
18 Jun - DEP Signed (we held off signing as we were waiting for our broker - my husband had changed jobs)
19 Jun - Bank requested revised payment schedule
25 Jun - Construction Plans received
27 Jun - Revised payment schedule and End Panel received
5 Jul - Loan approved (took another month for our broker to process our loan documents)
3 Aug - Loan settled
9 Aug - 5% gap deposit paid
14 Aug - Production Estimating
16 Aug - Site scrape & fencing / tender expiry

So yeah, we just made it lol

@twolittlepeas, thank you so much! That's exactly what i needed to know - i also wondered when the 5% gap deposit was payable! Thanks again for the info, helped alot! :-D

No problems!

Have they submitted the plans to council? Hope you make it by Xmas!!

My DEP panel took 7 weeks then another 10 days after that for end panel. My construction plans took 4 weeks after that however others on here were a lot quicker

I have a similar timeline to @jenifermarie (but 1 year apart). Her DEP came 1 month after CDC approval and her Construction Plans came a month after she signed off on DEP. The Final EP about 2 weeks after that. Hoping ours is around the same too. Tender expires in mid January so it's abit tight!

How are you going @Manhattan52 with production estimating stage?

For those in construction, may I ask what your construction timeline has been like in weeks?

I’m at week 9, and they have completed bricks and roof.

Our timeline as follows:

Week 1 - excavation, fencing, piering & formwork
Week 2 - slab pour, pipes & plumbing
Week 3 - frame delivery
Week 5 - frames completed, brick delivery
Week 8 - roof completed
Week 9 - bricks completed

   ⋅  Add a comment  ⋅  Pin to Ideaboard  ⋅

I’m really surprised at how quickly it’s building. My husband is so optimistic, he believes our home will be completed before the contract date. Lol

Is a slim water tank an upgrade??

It’s the included water tank. Here are some pictures. The pipes have all been painted monument to match since these photos.

Thanks @jenifermarie ! I thought there might of been a slimmer one that we could get.
What is the width on your one? I was told I couldnt fit mine on the side of our house, our side setbacks are 920mm.

@kvav27 Thanks for the model and price. I do agree with the less hassle but when everything adds up ..

M52 - yea, KDR and from what I’ve seen from most new houses in my council area, does seem like we will require more than the standard 3000L, probably double at least..?? Trying to pre-empt where to place the bigger size tanks.

Anyone know the brands being used for the rainwater tank?

Hello @circaten

We are building a Tesla 24, but have kept the house plan as is, Master at the back.

Hello @circaten

We are building a Tesla 24, but have kept the house plan as is, Master at the back.

Hi guys, long time lurker on here as most of my questions have been found in this thread. Ive held back a bit on voicing my opinion on here but I think I have hit my limit with my frustrations with the Wisdom admin process.
We had our colour appointment back in mid June and are STILL waiting on these to be finalised. 4 months on. Some of the guys have been great but other have had me pulling my hair out. We had a lot of back and forth on our kitchen as we signed our tender on an old promo and the quotes coming back had charges for the inclusive items. Then every time we signed a variation and it had an error on another point or other variations were missed and had to be resigned. I think all up we are about $3-4k over what we thought was our complete quote (not PA) for our kitchen.
We now have had 2 instances where we have items included as part of a promotion or vouchers in our contract but are now being told they are not included.
On contract signing our CSR told us we would hear from her each week, even if its just to check in. So far it has been a lot of our chasing her for updates or reply to emails! We waited 2 months for a variation to be sent through to change an external sliding door to a window.
I honestly can not wait to see the back of the whole admin process.

I wouldn't worry too much. Your file progress isn't being held up by the appointments not being finalised. What vouchers are you referring to and who is saying they are no longer valid? If its in your contact it is.

At what stage are you up to in regards to your plans.

Not sure where we are up to exactly with our plans as we are still waiting on our CSR to let us know. All that we have been told is that they are waiting for all our our canvas quarter quotes to be finalised.
We are still waiting on our land to register - 6 months overdue now, but wisdom have been able to access the site and complete soil tests etc.
Im not so much worried that we potentially are behind in the process its more the frustration that its taking so long to get a final cost. We thought when we signed off on our kitchen quote months ago that was it. If we had know that another couple of thousands would have been added on in the coming month I would have rethought some of the original options we signed off on.
We were charged for PU cupboards in our kitchen when this was part of our promo - had to argue that. Turns our the package changed and the took out the PU cupboards and replaced with solar. We reverted back to the PU cupboards.

We have $5.5k voucher to spend with Wisdom Pools in our contract but Wisdom Pools do not want to honour it!

Why has your package changed? You mean the live boldly package?
Did you get PU cupboards to your whole kitchen? as PU to upper cabinets were an upgrade for us.
