So here were are more than two years later, still waiting for our land.... However, I will admit there is one positive which is we have completely altered our original plan and I definitely would not have been happy with the original. Please see attached new plans :)

Trying to find anyone who has bought land in Wamboin, NSW (outskirts of Canberra) in the Wirreanda Road Sub Division, as work was meant to be completed December 2020 but have now been told through more delays that works will still not be completed by the sunset date of December 2021.... We purchased...

You will ultimately make the choices for your lifestyle and how you will use the house, but on the master bedroom/WIR/Ensuite is it a huge overall space in comparison to your overall house design. If you plan on spending lots of 'awake' time in that zone then it makes sense.....but for us I would d...

Just because I had a spare minute thought I would pass on my idea for the pantry and laundry: https://forum.homeone.com.au/u/87732_1594618735.JPG Agree that extending out will simplify the roofline, a good thing for solar. angi.f, are you the sort of household that would use a mudroom? I like what darb has done, i think extending the wall out makes sense, the additional room in your pantry and laundry would allow a powder room, and make the roof line more simple yet cheaper... https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200713/809994edded8d41c5ece7381fe7aa5b9.png Something like this allow...

Those are some amazing views! I would suggest reconfiguring the master bedroom so that you can look out onto your views while sitting in bed. In doing so I would suggest increasing the amount of hanging space in your WIR. Thank you :) I appreciate everyone's comments and suggestions, I hope no one ...

A couple of things stand out to me: You have a direct line of sight from the family room to the ensuite shower. I'd try and create a dog leg in the master entry somehow so the sight is blocked. On such a large block, setbacks don't tend to be an issue, so to utilise the space better in laundry and ...

In terms of roof, we will be having a flat roof and will be allowing for solar later on. I wouldn't be leaving solar PV for too long, as it's such a good investment. It should pay itself off in about 3 years, then will save you $1.5k+ depending on system size. You can't get those sort of returns fr...

It looks pretty good, I’d be probably wanting a powder room closer to the family/dining, its a bit of a walk. If that’s the only bathroom (besides ensuite) I’d add a vanity into the toilet, not much use if someone needs to use the bathroom and cant wash their hands. I’m not sure what the point of t...

Instead of sleeping this morning post night shift I went to the markets and bought my first artwork for the new house. These are for the kids rooms. I have been watching this artist for ages and I’m happy to finally own some of these beautiful prints. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180415/4cd77...
Hi Sparrowsnest - do you mind me asking who the artist is? Thank you
