Settlement today! 11 months late. Did you guys get a present on settlement in a black box with a ribbon? The guy bought it in last week but then they still had a few things to do but today he didn’t bring the box back in. We are just curious, not going to make an issue of it. We are so happy with t...

Exactly what I said to them, they had nothing to come back with on that one, just shut the conversation down [/quote] Agreed, I asked about getting my own electrician in to do data cabling, they said no way! Same answer when I asked if i could get holes drilled in the noggins. I then asked to pay fo...

I'd be hitting up their Facebook page for the data issues... Everytime they post anything, follow up with a post about PD not being able to get their electrical contractors to terminate a data outlet per contact... That'll get some attention I might have a solution thanks to my awesome SS, still pe...

I really wish we had a different electrical supplier. I wanted a conduit put in so I could run additional lines after the build, but they don't do it. Seems like it's a pretty common problem, this is what i've been left with. I can't legally do anything with this! All despite paying full price for a data port. I would have got them cheaper after the build terminated at both ends despite it being a tonne harder once the plaster is on. https://forum...

Anyone have any issues with Argus for data cabling and any idea how to deal with this? I paid a fortune to get 24 ports ran throughout the house as I couldn't be bothered doing it later despite my best mate bing a sparky and doing it in my old place. Got the "Basic NBN pack" which included...

Probably today, they're bloody quick with the invoices! The slab and frame were the only ones that came on time for me, the rest were way early.

Just wondering for anyone that was paid penalties by Porter Davis for being over contract date, were your payments calculated from Handover date or PCI date? My building coordinator is telling me it's calculated from PCI date so that's automatically $500 less despite us still not having a home. Also...

I'm sure not all are as slow as ours, probably depends where you're building. I've heard the problems are mostly in the west and I'd be inclined to believe that considering the other 2 PD builds on our street are going just as slow.

We have just finished lockup stage today and fixing stage will be complete on Tuesday. That means we are entering the final stage. How long did the final stage go for you? Double storey with lots of tiling. I am hopeful we will have keys late July to late August. So 2 to 3 months. Is this being ove...

Hopefully, we're up to 9 and a half months currently and have at least another month or even two to go at the current rate. We're lucky if one thing happens a week, sometimes every 2 weeks, they just can't organise their trades to save themselves! Realistically with what's actually left to complete ...

Just wondering if anyone has ever selected the bifold servery window like they have on display in the Astor Grange at Point Cook? We have and it's been nothing but an ongoing nightmare since about November last year. I get the feeling no one ever has before as they don't seem to know what they're do...

I'm guessing the supplier should have got it right in the first place but the builder probably could have checked earlier on. Here's hoping! We're almost 3 months behind at the point and still have at least another month to go. Delays seem to depend on what builder you're with from what I have seen ...

I think something has happened with the Gas lines at Bloomdale. We're in stage 16 My builder called yesterday and said the gas point is on the wrong side of the house. We’ve had a lot of delays too. But despite various reasons for the delays PD have not tried to wangle out of any compensation. Our contract end date was meant to be Dec 12 and so they owe us $250 per week from then. Our building coordinator confirmed that is the date that compensation starts. My op...

Hi Gavrook Welcome to the first post, I'm sorry that its filled with so many awful things. I agree with Hurrow, you need to email and start getting Senior Management involved. Kick up a stink and make yourself heard to the BC's and SS's Manager. I understand they got a new CEO in the last few month...

Thanks i'll definitely be doing that, I've tried to keep the majority of our communication through email so there's written proof but there's been a few times i've gone a week or more without a reply so there's been a few calls. We've had 2 things happen since christmas, the waterproofing in the bat...
