Very old post but I’m having issue with my steps to pass final Inspection , so I am aloud to put a wooden pallet at the exterior to Make the step into the house under 190mm? Will a pallet pass? I made the pallet height at least 130mm and the step into the house height under 190mm

Hi New build is about a month away from moving in , we want to add double doors to a internal wall which is NON load bearing , do I need a permit or can we just do it? Will they not give us occupancy certificate when they do final inspection? Becuase it doesn’t show on the plan? Council take forever...

If you wait and do the alfresco after OC, you will still need to get approval for the alfresco, although you could potentially add a pergola with a clear roof, rather than a solid roof (not sure for that would make a difference) I’m not sure why you are against adding a skylight, it irrelevant what...

Yes shown on plan and it’s been discussed face to face with the builder and the plaster people have it on the quote but the builder reckons he doesn’t do any of that Truss roof Thanks

You probably want to work out a budget and work back from there. Also seems you want alot of rooms in this house, 4 beds, a study, 4 living areas, a double garage, 2 bathrooms and I'd assume a dining area if you want somewhere to eat??
