im useless on DIY too but jus curious. .. how many people in ur family? how big is ur bathroom? do u have kids who needs the 'bath'? but yeah,prolly cheapest if u dont relocate components. My mate did 2 bathrooms in his house for under 10k ( just upgrade components , retile and lighting ventilation)...

hi josh, sounds fun (i've demolished my plan). .I think low to mid 20s,u'll get a very decent bathroom.Consider Pulling the old out would save i suppose ...remember to buy good taps, cheap ones wreck easy ,and its a big job to fix :) good luck with ur project :D

hi, im finishing up an outdoor area.The pergola is metal with a strip of white milk fibreglass cost me $2500 ...the white(not clear) fibreglass gives light,not as hot as the polycarbonate plastic...also the dirt and dust bulid on top is much more visable on the poly plastic .... ..i've done abit of timber flooring ...mostly with prefinished timbers.(timbers comes in boxes, all sanded,polished and glazed) . Its like the method u previously mentioned exepts the timbers finished.. wat we normally do on new concrete floors is lay(glue) 20mm ply woods with onto the cemented floo...

the previous owner had extended the rear of the house to open up the dinning (2mtres extention) and some brick piers were build to support the extended area...the piers are just uncemented stacks of bricks.A building inspector said some of the bricks are displace and falling out... he suggested to c...

ok..im soon building a brand new bathroom and had my plan all set out.... i have always thought it be ok to tile existing timber .... 2day,i was advised to concrete the new bathroom floor area as the old timber wont support all the weight of the new bathroom... im assuming a layer of concrete replac...

i took a trip to bunning yesterday ...and guess wat i found? :D bathroom designer pc program for 20 bucks..a little complicated to use without going thru tutorial...hundreds of bathroom accessories ...lightings,furnitures .. even flowers and picture for decoration ....

i've been searching for a site as well.I try draw my own with a couple of rulers,pencils,rubber . if u like , post a plan and i try draw it for u :lol: ...i love to fiddle wit the pencil when im free :) btw,the planner on http://www.ljtbethrooms.com.au is much better imo

Depends how much you've got! You can spend $10,000 on a repair or spend $100,000.00 on a double garage with ensuite and loft. Pick your budget first and then design to that budget. Don't design the dream garage before you have some idea what the end costs will be as you will only waste your time an...

thanks builda. i havent done much (if any :roll: ) building work. Tho i have work as a timber floor layer for a year. so anyways, i have an old fibro double tandem garage(rear lane access),tin roof, that needs repair as the frames decaying and plasterboards falling.. can i repair the old garage ? .....

Pricing is dependent on what you want and how it is built etc but we have done a couple recently on existing blocks after demolishing the old garage (asbestos etc) and the pricing ranged from $40,000 to $60,000. Both were doubles (one was a bit smaller) with tile roofs. FC sheeting is A BIT cheaper...
...and i was thinking 15-20 ,i can deffinately forget about building a brick garage now.Tho i do need a new garage...ol...

that was great? :D thanks builder.its my first home and first time reno (and i konw nothing)so its a great deal of help...now i feel quite comfortable sitting on a 15k budge :) t.I've also decided not to include a spa bath ...and not so extravagance the only thing im concern might blow my budget is ...

what about the flow of the water? dose it matter which why it flows? in my saltwater tank, the water flows in all directions. the more water flow the better for a saltwater tank. my gf has come back from feng shui class and she told me to make the water flow in one direction or get rid of my fish t...
have u got filter for ur tank?...have u tried putting the water input on one side and ouput on opposite ?
