Thanks Malibu and SDS1 - you have been so helpful! Can you break tender if something crazy happened such as loan not approved, or we need to move states suddenly (haha). Like I know there is a fee of $1200 per month if you go over the 9 months but what happens if circumstances change completely. Ar...

Thanks Malibu - that’s really helpful! So You don’t have to accept tender on the spot at the presentation? Do you get days or weeks? You definitely don't have to sign on the spot and you shouldn't. Take the tender home and review in detail and that's where you can include things like any provisiona...

Hi can I have some help please. How long between paying the $1k and tender presentation/acceptance (on average)? And then how long between tender acceptance and plan acceptance? I actually thought plan acceptance was at same time as tender acceptance (how can they give you a solid price without loc...

Update on our build: we are still going :( Unfortunately we got held up by the gas reconnection (annoying as it is completely out of your hands and reliant on the gas company) so couldn't put in tanks, paths, driveways etc. Then also held up with rain last week. Thankfully, concrete pour for drivew...
Bummer about the delays kjane. We have also been delayed by weather but I am sure the $4k makes up for it 😊 Totally Mal...

Hey kjane, Wow your progress is looking great! Your family room looks very light and useful. Regarding landscaping, I would give Guy @ Yardscape a call to at least get a quote, he's done a great job for us, and his quotes were quite reasonable vs some others we received. Building is definitely not ...

That's exciting and great to hear kjane! Incidentally who is your SS? Appears to have a good handle on the defects. We are progressing BUT way to slow mostly because of the rain. Hopefully next couple of weeks I will have some better news and update.

You are nearly there kjane! That's great news but what a low life to steal bricks! I like your singage idea We are going well but a little slow for my liking but no complaints as long as the end result is a good quality product. I am satisfied so far but I know more when we get to your stage with al...

Definitely get a number of quotes which you are doing and compare inclusions. H&H for our build weren't the cheapest but they weren't the most expensive either but we liked the design, and like you, our block was challenging. My experience so far is very good but I can't recommend them yet as we...

Cost of builds were in par with other project homes. H&H have some good inclusions that suited us, but most important is the design \s. You need to like the designs of the builders you are comparing to.

A few people have and have some good reviews. I wouldn't recommend the one I went with and it wasn't Democorp.

PCI Inspection was completed last week. Both us and the Independant Inspector are overall pretty happy with the house. There are some paint issues that will be fixed, and a few bumps and scratches to address, but nothing major reported. Not long to go now! https://forum.homeone.com.au/u/75181_15271...
Nice colour choices Seren1ty. Looking schmick!!!

No worries :-D It's hard to pull it back, we ended up needing to drop about 20K to get it to a not so eye watering amount. I had to try to control my husband more so than me, he was like Oprah at the internal selections "upgrades for everyone!!!" Before I call the council hoping you might...
