Yeah tell me about it. Only thing I can think of is if they've rectified it between the time I saw it and now. Some of the guys doing these jobs just don't care or aren't legit tradesmen.

Hi Guys, Just an update on this, the builder agreed to re-do the entire splashback, so they ripped it down, re-plastered that section and re-tiled it. Not sure would have to check. Does ducted heating have a return air vent at all? Could also be for that and I may have mistaken it for the evap. I've told them I want it moved, just waiting to hear back.

Yeah I know how evap works and I was confused when I saw it as well, but all the display homes had a return air vent as well (with evap), so I just assumed it's normal. Either way, it's a return air vent, lol.
