There are lots of rocks here. Hardly surprising one of the streets in the estate is Rockfield Street - a field of rocks. I'd be getting my site costs fixed in the contract if you can. We had to pay $10K extra in concrete costs for the slab as that was one variable in our contract that wasn't locked ...

In case you didn't know already, you can access Craigieburn Road via the Summerhill estate now. Discovered this on one of my many LOOOONG walks around the estate. Marleena - given that you posted on 30 December I'd say what you heard was fireworks. It seems that every second house in this area light...

I'd like to go to Middy's etc for a key but I suspect I'll need to know the manufacturer first as well as the keycode. Yes, I was just about to say that you just need to quote the number on the lock to a locksmith and they can cut you a key, but I see you worked that out. Damo - yes, I'm having tel...

Sorry WaKaA, but not sure about Summerhill. Maybe try the Whirlpool forums - there should be info on there about it? (just a thought...)

Traffic around here at the moment is shocking. There are too many bottlenecks where you can get stuck for minutes waiting for lights. They really need to open up more links between the estates and Cooper street. Miller st and Epping rd are massive bottlenecks and getting worse. Also need Edgar's rd...

Ignore my previous queries re Craigieburn Road. It's completely blocked off so the alternate lanes/reduced speed limit stuff in the paper is not accurate - you can't turn into the road at all. Went via High street/Cooper St one day and then Donnybrook Road the second. Donnybrook was faster... Not su...

Awesome, thanks Aurorafrog. Still confused though. The paper just says that there's some lane closures and traffic will be alternated through the one open lane at 40km/hr but the big flashing signs throughout the Hume Fwy say that Craigieburn Rd East is closed at Epping Road and to take Donnybrook r...

I drove to Bendigo on Monday and noticed signs saying that Craigieburn Road East was closed at Epping Road. Is it closed until Jan next year? or is it just an intermittent thing. My commute from here to the kids school in Mernda and then to St. Kilda for work is going to be a nightmare if I have to ...

Our rates are $1493 per annum And you are all right, the documentation/pamphlets do talk about overshadowing, not overlooking, but this is what was told to us verbally at the sales office when we queried about having our house on a different block - they said that the house designs were specifically...

but the one in Aurora is making sure you are not overshadowed by next door We were also told that Aurora was master planned and that no house overlooked another. Yet if we stand in our son's bedroom and look out the window, we look straight down into our neighbour's kitchen/dining area.

If oztish doesn't mind we can also rename this thread into Aurora, Lyndarum and Summerhill, considering how close these estates are to one another. No worries, will try and change it

Shame that my little Bindts Lane shortcut will soon be infiltrated with other cars though :) Does anyone know if the shoe/clothing collection bag recently put in our letterboxes that say...

The internet is a great infrastructure with its high speeds, but we've had two cases in which we've ben without the internet, with the FTTH technician having to come out two days later (after being hassled) to just restart the router - a 20 second job, in which I had to still continue to pay for th...

It seems the lights don't adjust to peak hour traffic and spend almost an equal time letting cars on Lyndarum Drive/Hayston Blvd through as cars on Epping Road. I would hate to see it in the morning peak for people travelling south. Yes, Epping Road travelling southbound in the morning peak is pret...
