All depends on your taste and how much you upgrade. 1. Yes they will. Decide all the changes and let them know together asap. We made few changes and now getting revised tender 2. Signature package doesn’t really cover much. I found prestige package more useful and adding on things from signature pa...

How much did it cost and did you face any challenges? Thanks M Great to see the forum comments from everyone at varying stages, for those in adm...
We are building in a new estate under Wollondilly Council, land registration is this month but it's been pushed back twice now so we will see if it happens, with everything going on at the moment I assume there will be delays. Other then that we have done all our appointments last week with...

@faykis You would probably need to PM Mark rather than comment on the forum about your particular issue Are you waiting on your tender in order to seek your full approval for finance? Typically you would need a signed contract, end panel and council or CDC approved plans for your approval. This doe...

Windows glass cant absorbs the heat. Double glazing is possible with BAL 29/ BAL 40 windows and its not helpful. Good Quality glasses of the window little protect but not 100% provide a solution. I am thinking what else can be done to to increase BASIX and thermal efficiency. Low E glass? I absolut...

Hi we have a BAL 29 too and have double glazed west facing windows not thermally broken as I didn't know about that when we built. The glass had to be on the outside 6mm toughened glass. Inside it didn't matter. We are down southern Tasmania and in summer the heat blasts through those windows. But ...
Hi so you have BAL 29 windows and had double glazed them as well (west facing ones)?

This is a great question. My understanding was that builders would source BAL 40 windows as they keep a provisional allowance for this at the time of tender. Or do the builders not source windows for BaL40? May I ask who is your builder? Hi, I am currently building a Bal40 house and have a number of...

We paid for the tender request fees today. We have compared with a few other builders but didn’t pay anyone else for tender. We didn’t like others inclusions and floorplan for their price to be honest. Having a mixed feeling! Happy that its our very first step into building our dream house. We have ...

Unless something has changed. Widoms kitchen is with the Standard Caesarstone range. All others are considered an upgrade. We went into the Caesarstone shop as they have the whole slab on display which definitely helps with the selection. Highly recommend going to see the whole slab ...

Hi, this is a sewer line that runs one boundary of our registered vacant land. The diagram says it is enclosed sewer (Enclosed by developer). How close to this enclosed sewer line can I build a pool? Does the diagram say anything about how deep the sewer line is from ground? What will be the distanc...

Thank you worldofmud ill have to check all these to have a clearer idea. Our build area fall in a BAL zone , could be BAL 29/40 as worse case scenario. Plus its hills shire. I think its gonna be a prolonged difficult process with the council. Just 6th sense @faykis Is this a CDC-seems unlikely but t...
