Hi, Recently completed an extension in which we had a Daikin bulkheads installed - 3 bulkheads 1 wall unit (split) 1 external unit When we turn on one of the units in one room, it can be very noisey in the other rooms through the unit in that room. Hi All, Thanks a million for the thoughts! Attached is the full first floor. I like the U, as i kind of want to put the cooker at the bottom of the U. But the Island feels like it has a more modern feel to it.... https://forum.homeone.com.au/u/76284_1592214742.jpg

Hi Gillybean, I think you've jumped the gun a little there on what I am thinking. Completely agree with the privacy and it was something we wanted. My guess, the fence is theirs and I cant touch (paint) it without it their permission. Why should I have to paint it initially - surely they should have...

Hi, My neighbour is completing a renovation. While being away over Christmas, I've come back to a new fence being built on their property. There is/was an existing fence on the boundary and is still there. Are they 'allowed' to build this? What are my rights with regard to it - they've not painted t...

Interested in replacing existing windows in 1930's house due to thermal and noise factors. Here are some photo's of the windows. (about 1.4m x.9m size) htt...

Hi, I have a 1930's 2 story house with wooden frame windows (type where you turn the knob for them to open from the bottom). Pretty sure they are the original windows. There is a main road at the front of the house and it is quite noisey. Also, it is very cold! I have read quite a bit on not putting...

Hi, Recently purchased a new house and moved in. The neighbor's are extending their house which backs straight onto our back garden. Basically it looks very high that even the ground floor will be high than the fence and overlooking our back garden (Let along the upstairs). Anything i can do here? T...
