@newby76 Most builders will see your build as a money pit..even more reason to do your homework & make decisions based on facts. Get a copy of the Codes @Doozer1905 I think most battlers are tired of getting varying quotes without being told why, mate, if you want to pick up work put up some us...

We payed an extra $90k for ours. We had bushfire and slope. It adds up quite quickly.

Yeah they are flat out down there they. They cover such a huge area. I think our plans took a round that of not longer.

What was the hold up in council? I am worried about council. NAMT have you been following it on the council DA Tracking system. it's a rural area and at first said it may clash with surroundings (won't.. you can't see it from the road) and then we had to make some changes to improve fire ratings and some exterior changes... I think under normal circumstances councils are okay it's just ours had a few extra restrictions beca...
