I would not recommend garage location. I’d suggest somewhere central in your house like in your under stair cupboard. Wifi extenders and the like exist but great if you can use Techsmax advice and get it right now as you are hoping to do. I’m not an expert. Just based on experience of Telstra coming...

Have you had your deck built yet? I have light colored timber flooring in home so was hoping to use spotted gum as the various colors would blend better, But looks like I have to use Merbau due to deck being low off the ground. Less chance of warping is the advice I have been given by a few carpente...

I agree if you trust your builder. If it's past lockup, and waterproofing and insulation is done..... everything else is likely still visible at pre completion inspection as not covered up. If you'll be away at key times you could have a private inspector go through who'll communicate with you and b...

Sorry can't recommend. I started building before you could choose your own in Vic. I hope you do choose your own! Conflict of interest is a problem with builders surveyor.

You can buy the ICON diverter in Bunnings for $38 but I intend to also supply them separate to the kit I mentioned and post free at the same price in the Melbourne metro area. I will PM you soon. . You've had a huge year and recent illness so it's very normal to feel like this. A big adjustment. New home, new location. Take some time to reflect on how amazing your achievement is to have your own house and have tackled the builder and all the decisions on your own. I'm very impressed with how y...

The only rainhead leaf diverter that I recommend is the ICON Leaf and Debris Controller Also as I don't have the computer skills to put both your quotes in the same reply - Is it possible at some time in the future for me to have a rainhead leaf diverter like the one you suggested above retrofitted...

Given the poor 'information in the VBA Technical Solution Sheet 4.05 that many would believe to be based on applicable regulations, would you have confidence in the VBA exercising greater control of the regulatory framework? A tip, If you have long plastered hallway, recesses can break up the plaster so plaster joins etc may be less visible with glancing light - mine look terrible with light coming through the window alongside front door. Ask your building inspector these questions If you are in Vic- Call the building surveyor or have your inspector do this if builder is ignoring you. Good luck and keep at it. Running over contract is exhausting but better to have it right for long term gain.

Hi, Just wondering what the standard was for depth gas pipes are laid. Any difference in requirement of depth from gas meter to footpath or depth of pipes from gas meter to home. I'm landscaping at present and based on hand excavation they seem to be on average about 300mm deep. I thought gas was me...
