Depends on the type of cork flooring that you opt. As Michelle said above, solid cork floors would have a lesser likelihood of getting scratched as compared to the click lock ones as they have gaps in the middle which dogs can easily tear. I hate to break you the truth but do not expect unscratched ...

You should ideally have the gap smaller, say up to 0.3cm but I haven't seen issues with the gap that you mention. However you should check and see if water can permeate through the gap because bigger gaps can lead to more water seepage.

If you are choosing bamboo flooring, I would strongly advice you to check the formaldehyde levels used in your bamboo flooring. My only suggestion if you are opting for bamboo flooring and if you are having dogs is to go for strand woven bamboo flooring as opposed to carbonized bamboo flooring.
