It's a sand filter.... our wash out is to the rear of the property. Not sure why it wasn't connected to storm water but it wasn't. We have bush reserve so it's not a big deal. Yours would be to storm water rather than sewer I'd imagine. Had a cartridge on last pool - no dramas but required cleaning ...

It is exposed aggregate around the pool. We had the tiles ready to surround it, to tie in nicely with the outdoor area, but the concretors and tilers had concerns with fall so we returned them and went exposed agg, which gave us more funds for other concreting and we have the same exposed agg fown t...

Hi Hazza, may you please post more pictures of your pool area showing the pool, edging, gardens around it, fencing, and the slope at the back of the pool? We'd like to put a pool in but thought we'd need a retaining wall, but you've sloped it? How high do you think it's raised at the back? Thanks h...

Hi Tribe, we're Fraser Coast area, so a few hours north of Brisbane. Ours is a local concrete pool builder. It's a good time to suss one out now before they get too busy in the warmer months.

Cheers. We're really happy with how things have turned out, nearly 5 months on. Pretty much all the landscaping from the bottom garden sheds up are as we planned and make it very homely already. We have some big plans for the back area, which is adjacent bush reserve so will be like a whole new worl...

An update photo of our courtyard area and driveway (nicknamed Lilly Pilly Lane). Plants are small but will fill the area in nicely (and give good screens) over the next few years. On to the next few projects - more gardening [WHITE SMILING FACE] https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170322/8bfe46f2bf87...

Fun and games. Enjoy the planning stages. Courtyard is tiled and ready for the feature garden. Had a lady from the nursery around yesterday and waiting for her quotes for the plants/rocks. Hopefully by Easter we'll have hedges along the driveway fence, the courtyard garden completed and other long f...

Design is awesome. I've hardly been inside though [WHITE SMILING FACE]. Had over 700m2 turf laid on Monday and doing our best to keep it alive in this scorching heat while working full time is this week's challenge. Pool is all done - absolutely awesome. Lady coming tomorrow before work to give advi...

We'll post more pics and info when we're settled. Being on over half an acre there's still a lot to get done and I'd like to post the landscaping to complete the journey. Yarraland - Fraser Coast region

Been flat out since getting keys for the shed.... but quick update - we got keys to the house late this arvo. Was a bit of a blur when the bank said at 4pm they could get a cheque written up and the builder said they could meet for handover at 5:30pm. There's still a couple of things to complete but...

Australia Day happens to be my daughter's b'day so she's pretty excited to have the first b'day in the new house.... could be cutting it fine with the pool though. Can't remember actual cost - somewhere between $350-500 from memory.

The past 2 days, they've given ...
