Land tax is only payable if you’re earning income from the property, ie renting it out. They do it on a 1-day basis on 31 December, so if it’s rented out on that day, you’ll have land tax payable for the year (good incentive to finish any leases prior to that day!). Indeed, sensational - what material did you use for the benchtop? We were going to use corian but the heat from bbq means they need a stainless steel strip all the way around, adding a lot of cost. So we might just go with granite

I would say this decision is primarily affected by your cornice and architraves. If they are slim profile or square set, I think it will look fine. Is the constant lint just a feature of wool carpet? We had to get rid of a wool rug because it required daily vacuuming as well as leaving fluff balls all around the living room.
