Hi! Our deposits paid counted towards our deposit. With ours we had to have 10% of the total loan amount. We were lucky that our valuation came in higher than purchase price - but if it doesn't you will have LMI (quite a few thousand) to pay which they put on your loan amount! Hope this helps!

We bought a block with almost 3-4m of fill in some areas - it was tightly compacted so not too much extra was needed - we needed 100m of piering on a 180m house and we also had an M class slab - we did build our house up further on the fill as well so that affected us - but it wasn't too much more c...

Hi Alrightdave, just wanted to confirm if you went ahead with epoxy anywhere? we are considering it for the main living and kitchen areas of the house, but are a bit unsure. If any one else has used epoxy for areas other than garages id love to hear from you too!

I am waiting to hear back from the developer re; driveway/pad I'll let you know. I saw they were bringing a lot of something in but wasn't sure what it was - pretty new to this but coal wash isn't sounding nice!

We got a 430 block, which we are happy with - it was our first preference! As for builders, there is way too many to choose from. We have narrowed it down to Coral Homes, Eden Brae or Sekisui House. Just waiting for some estimates to come back, as price will be a major factor! Yes we got the buildin...

Hey Stuart05! We were lucky enough to secure a block in the first release too! Now the waiting game starts! This is the first time we have built, so a lot too learn. We are hoping to put in a combustion fire place as a feature, our builder said they can do it but have to check with council if we are...
