I intend to give WorkCover a call in the morning but thought someone on here may have some experience they can share. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with terminating your contract with the builder mid way through. We are renovating in NSW. Our builder has been given a list of defects, which he has 28 days to complete. There is no way these are going to be done. We have sought advice from a solicitor an...

Just looking at our plans and then measuring the windows that have been put in our extension by the builder (almost at lock up stage) and the windows are slightly different sizes to the plan dimensions. eg plan says 2100x1800 actual window is 2060x1820. This has only posed a problem now that a piece...

Our eaves went on today and we have noticed that there is a considerable gap between the eave sheeting and the brickwork, approx. 50mm. This is an extension. Also at one end the sheeting is hard against the brickwork and then begins to widen all the way to the other end to create this big gap. The e...

Has anyone had their builder pull out of the job prior to it being finished, eg: they've ran out of time or money to do it and want to walk away and leave you to finish it off? What happens in this scenario?
