Sounds like a good deal. Mine costed around the same for 17.7kw unit. The reason I went with Actron ESP Platinum Plus was because of the variable fan technology and it's ability to operate at 10-100% capacity, which equates to significant power savings. However Daikin Premium inverter is really effi...

IOC can be issued without Aircon being installed. But as Pixi mentioned, you'd have to pay for final OC later. That's what happened to me, I got IOC for free and then got Aircon installed post handover. Had to pay FOC fee that was around ~$400 in my council.

Hey MKIII, We got a fixed splashback window without any charge from EBH as we didn't want to spend much on getting glass splashback. It looks pretty decent with views into the backyard [emoji14] Just a suggestion...

Yes...luckily my CSA was very proactive, and she used to cover anything that we had missed. Doors was one of those things. Moreover during construction, I kept reminding my SS of everything non-standard that was in the contract. Looking at the emails exchanged with my SS regarding internal doors, a ...

Hi Cremorne35, you certainly could have bamboo/laminate flooring without taking the skirting off. The Mrs just preferred to have it taken out and done the proper way. We got screeding done as well before getting the tiles laid as the floor wasn't levelled. The skirting height will decrease according...

Was definitely a PITA to be honest. But wouldn't have got it done from EBH for sure. The issue was that I asked EBH to tack-on the skirting, which they didnt. Had to get the skirting taken off, got the tiles put in, then had to get the skirting put in place again and then touched up. Since this requ...

We got credit for carpet/tiles from EBH, and ended up getting bamboo flooring in bedrooms and 600x600 polished porcelain tiles for almost the same amount post handover. But as Cremorne35 mentioned, we areas have to be done by EBH.

Mine is ducted, however the price was included in the H&L package I believe. So no additional costs were added.

Hi Venniechadha, Although I didnt go ahead with Abbey Blinds and got mine done post handover, I realised Abbey Blinds were really keen to get the business, and kept on offering 5-10% discount from what was originally quoted by them during the appointment. Also a mate got them to price-match another ...

Hi Shellaw24, Our Tyrell inspection occurred after electrical rough ins only, so sounds about right. Also, I requested a copy of that report from my CSA and she promptly emailed it to me.

Wow...$75 just for the batten holders. Plus the cost of getting lights/downlights and getting it installed? I paid the electrician $28 per downlight for installation, and another $25 for 11W LED Downlight kit - dimmable ones. So it was quite a decent saving considering I had ~60 downlights in the ho...

Sorry... should've been more specific with my message. I got the additional switch points and data points put in by EBH. The other thing I got done from them was provision of wall mount for TVs(draw-wire, extra noggins and bullnose wall plate) Also took provision for Up/down lights@ facade...as that...

With the single storey...don't get the electricals done with EBH as you can get it done for a lot less post handover. EBH had quoted me 13k for electrical works including fans/downlights through the house... Got it done for ~6k post handover.

Hasan_S14, This is exactly what I was told. PGH seconded this saying if you were use a pressure cleaner to clean the bricks...the actual colour beneath the top layer could be visible. So we finally ended up going ahead with "Loam"...as it was one of the half decent bricks with the same col...

Hasan, EBH provides a depth of 550mm for the wardrobes. However the depth comes out to be 600mm when you remove the door and put sliding doors there. So mine are 600mm from what I remember. That’s good to know. I went with Stegbar just for the melamine shelving in pantry. Was such a pain to get that organised as the house was handed over to me with an undertaking that Stegbar will install shelving within 30 business days. After numerous phone calls and emails...they finally installed t...
